Uriah Heep, the legendary rockers at the forefront of the earliest days of heavy metal, have returned to Wichita at long last! Though it's only been five years since they graced the shores of America, it's been four long decades since their last show in Wichita at the Kansas Coliseum. That particular venue sadly closed it's doors over ten years ago and now functions as an aerospace testing facility for Wichita State University.
Celebrating their incredible new record, Chaos and Color, Uriah Heep tore through three singles off their latest effort including Hurricane! Between the unmistakable work of renowned founding guitarist Mick Box, the ear-splitting highs of vocalist Bernie Shaw, the devastating drumming of Russell Gilbrook, the relentless low-notes from bassist Dave Rimmer, not to mention the incredible playing of fill-in keyboardist Adam Wakeman, Wichita didn't know what had hit them.
Please enjoy this front row perspective of Hurricane, some of the only footage you will ever find of Uriah Heep live in Wichita, Kansas!
