I’m glad you’re getting sunshine! We have a winter storm warning starting tonight through Wednesday morning-4” to 8” snow and some wind, maybe 40mph. This will be our 1st big storm of the season! Only had about 3” from 1 storm, way back before Christmas! Not our usual!! I’m staying hunkered down at home 😉! Love your videos! As a farmer’s widow, I ‘get’ a lot of your work; we only had farrow to finish hogs for the 1st few years of our marriage, but there was corn, hay and oats. No soybeans as those needed different equipment than we had. Ahh; fences…hahaha! The bane of anyone having livestock! We had 2 Belgian broodmare bands with stallions at one point; our problem was the creek flooding and tearing the fences out😖! That got expensive, then the horse prices nose dived and we sold them…at a loss😳 The $5000 stallion brought a whopping’ $100!😢 At least he went to a good home as the meat buyers didn’t want studs. A lot of mares went for meat-Quebec and Japan/ China. Most of ours went to the local Amish as they were old order and used them for field work. Sorry for the ‘novel’🤭 All the best to you and yours! The sun was pretty short lived. This same system that I’m sure is bringing you snow is just now bringing us wind and rain. We have a wind advisory until tomorrow night. Looks like we have snow in the forecast for this coming weekend and frigid temperatures into next week. Already making plans to keep water tanks open and running!

Do you think the bale unroller/ SXS combo is better than just using the tractor with a 3pt on roller? Seems like u have to get the tractor out anyway and you wouldn’t have to get off to unroll it.

I like this better when the ground is soft/muddy for sure. We make sure we have enough set out of the barn and lined up for the bale unroller when we have the tractor running once or twice a week. This is a little more manual labor than a 3 point unroller, but we like making less ruts and mess.

The red hay ring in the video that is a funnel type, what brand is that and do you recommend it? It has to be better that the open style to me. Thank you and God bless!

Bextra, I believe is the brand. They do waste much less, but they are expensive (probably pay for themselves eventually). They are also quite heavy to handle by hand
