It's as if people forgot this show existed despite running for 5 seasons and 65 episodes. Well I do know why most of us Arab speaking viewers forgot about it, because we got ton of Arabic dubs of sports anime like Captain Tsubasa and many felt this show was a downgrade but I do have a soft spot for it especially its kickass theme song

I can vividly remember running down a crowded beach in Pembrokeshire as fast as my 5 year old legs could carry me. I sang this theme tune at the top of my voice as the white foam lapped up against me feet. Next thing I know my dad swoops me up and yells at me, telling me never to run off like that again. It was so good while it lasted.

Definitely remember watching this cartoon in 93. A soccer team turned superheroes in this underrated 1990s cartoon. It was made by DIC productions. The same people who made Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff, and even the other fantastic cartoons.

I loved the Hurricanes. This show was syndicated by Bohbot Entertainment as part of Amazin! Adventures (1993-1994) and ESPN2 (1994-1997). Even several of the music was recycled or transfered from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Captain Planet and the Planeteers.

I do or don't think this cartoon aired in too many US markets or so. It did air in Dallas-Ft. Worth in the 1993-1994 season as part of the "Amazin' Adventures" block, as I recall. It even had the FCC required educational segment. Wasn't on for too long. It moved to ESPN2 for the remainder the show for the 1994-1997 seasons.
