MAHOMES should be at the top of the MVP conversation... He lost his number 1 and 2 receiver and his number 1 running back at the beginning of the season and just kept winning... He is the best QB on 3 down and in the 4th quarter, you know, when it matters most... LAMAR got Derrick Henry and it took a lot of pressure off him... So having more help should make him less of the MVP not more... The way they determine these things makes no sense... THAT'S alright, Mahomes will just have to settle for SB MVP again... Everyone glazing Lamar but Mahomes got better numbers this year than Lamar had last year and mahomes got a better record this year than Lamar did last year and won. Mahomes is the best quarterback in the world and in a class of his own. We’ve seen him win in anyway, people talking about how his numbers are not what they are accustomed to the past two seasons but that’s what happens when you have a GREAT defense, which he has never had up until last year. With a great defense you play ball control and don’t take risk you just play smart and that’s exactly what he’s done.

Unfortunately the mvp doesn’t go to best and most valuable player every season or else Mahomes would just win it every year because the gap between him and the next best nfl player is great. Mahomes has done more with less his whole career. Remember Noah Gray was his #1 target for several games this season. Only lost 1 game. Secured #1 seed. This is a massive risk. If they rest Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, etc. they are risking coming out super flat in the Divisional Round of the playoffs given that they have 10-11 days off before the Denver game and then another 13-15 days off before the Divisional Round. Not to mention they're probably going to be up against the Chargers or Steelers in that round as well. Both of those teams especially Pittsburgh have been well known for beating teams that rest their starters before the playoffs over the years, and if most of the Chiefs starters don't play for 25 days, thats a bad sign for them going into the playoffs. If I'm Andy Reid, I'm playing my starters for a half against the Broncos just so there isn't any rust for the playoffs. Knowing Reid, thats exactly what he'll do.
