Wow.. I am so amazed this one came up in my feed. I've been extremely angry and resentful since September of last year. A death in my family(my mom). We couldn't see her in the hospital.. when she finally came home she died within a month. There is a lot to do with financially and i don't have time to be sad , I'm just mad . its affecting my entire life. I have not been consistent with my practice for years so i feel i'm being punished. this makes me mad too. Thank you Margaret for all of your wisdome and effort. Truly , I am grateful. I know what i have to do. Get guidance and be consistent. Thank you.

Hi Margaret, first of all thank you for everything... You're such a precious source of learning... My suggestion is: Could you perhaps make a vlog about How to go over a heartbreak through a Buddhist vision? I'm precisely referring to an unrequited love. Thank you

For us who suffer from workplace bullying, it is so mega difficult to chant for the happiness of the monsters who bully us, even if we are long-time Budhists
@margaretblaine53673 жыл бұрын
I have no doubt it's difficult, that's what makes the human revolution changes so profound. When I worked in a hospital I had a supervisor that was terribly disorganized, would shift 12 hours shifts at the last minute. I started to think negatively about him and discovered that my relationship with him was going downhill. I had just discovered the power of thought so I deliberately changed how I was thinking about him. I was back on his favorites list in 48 hours without doing anything different. People's lives know what we are thinking of them.

That’s real. My colleague wig shamed me in front of my students after I got a haircut and wore my hair. She always looks at me like I’ll stupid too. I cried that day but chanted that next day. It’s tough though as she’s mean.

I was hurt too but I realised that the reason behind that was both mine and the other person's ignorance of the mystic law.So I share Buddhism with others and also use imagination to see a different reality

Hello Margaret, I am totally new to this practice… And I’m wondering if you could do a little bit of a comparison of Nichirin Buddhism to Judeo Christian philosophy. I have a Jewish background and I have seen how this Chanting practice has helped people that I know and I am finding myself struggling between the surrender to Buddhism based on my Jewish upbringing. I’m unsure how to change my belief system (perhaps chanting???), however I know it needs to be updated! I really enjoy your videos and I thank you for your service!
@margaretblaine53673 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid I don't know anything abut the Jewish faith. I would suggest you get my book, Your Path to Unshakeable Happiness from margaretblaine.com or Amazon. It's written for brand new people. or An Introduction to Buddhism from www.sgi-usa.org. Go to the bottom of the page to the bookstore. In either one you can read about basic Buddhist concepts and philosophy. Then you can compare it and think about it. It is a prove-it-to-yourself practice. So pick a concrete goal that would be a stretch and plan to chant for it for 90 days. I suggest concrete so you will know when you get it. Have your Buddhist friends help you with the chant and pronounciation. r you can download a free app if you go to your phone's playstore. Search for SGI. You can hear the chant as well as gongo at different speeds.

my boss is a reverse racist. She yells at me and humiliates me in front of my colleagues. She creates issues lies and makes up stuff to engage in disciplinary sessions. She favors employees who look like her. She gives me average on my evaluation when I do outstanding work....... I still will chant for her happiness
@margaretblaine53673 жыл бұрын
This woman must be miserable to treat you in such a way. I know a situation where a boss was so negative my friend could barely stand to be in the room with him. Received guidance to chant for his happiness. It took several months but he discovered the boss had been stealing money from the company for years. The boss was asked to leave. Several months after that the practitioner found out his former boss had become happy. So we never know what is behind this kind of behavior. Your boss's life will know that you are chanting for her happiness. I'll be interested to hear what ends up happening.
