This is just before he died, the drugs had bloated him quite a bit. It was sad to see such a handsome man with a gift get to this point. Fame can kill.

His manager, "the Colonel " used Elvis as his cash cow and pushed him unmercifully. Look for the video "The Day Elvis Died" his band his friends that were always with him tell the story. He didn't look at his addiction as "drugs" but as "medication" prescribed by his doctor. I would encourage everyone to watch the video. It will tell you the facts of what happened to Elvis. His smile and the look of joy on his face as he hit those notes and belted out those words with such strength, Elvis Knew He DID IT!!😄👏👏👏👏😄 and that makes me happy for him😊 he trusted Colonel Parker and the man was bad for Elvis. I was 5 when his songs first came out and it's been love ever since. Your reaction was great💙❤ (I must feel the need to talk, lol. That's a lonnng comment😄)

The fact of the matter is that Elvis had legit health problems and so he became dependent on prescription medication. as for the actual day he died, there is no evidence that an overdose caused his heart attack as the autopsy has proven. Nor was he on the toilet when he died, he was sitting in his upstairs bathroom reading a book on a chair by the window when he had a massive heart attack and fell to the floor. If you want to keep reacting to Elvis I suggest you check out if I can dream from the 68 comeback special , its an incredible performance. I always love to see young people discovering legends like Elvis.

I walk past Graceland everyday and i still expect to see my friend there but sadly not i will love and miss E forever. I always called him E.. he got a big kick out of it and he called me kiddo lol special times we met when i was 17 yrs old, won a radio contest and the prize was a day with Elvis. We spoke a few weeks before he passed he said kiddo everything will be okay i was crying so hard i said nothing will be okay again. He gave me a little kiss one the cheek and said love ya kiddo i said i love ya too E. That was the last time i saw my friend alive again. My heart is forever broken. love to you from Memphis Tn. i love your reaction so sweet it makes me cry i miss my friend everyday. His voice was as beautiful as ever. He died on the bathroom floor all the hateful nasty comments on how he died made me sick to my stomach and they still do. If people can't be respectful say nothing. I enjoyed your reaction very nice to see some people that do not disrespect my friend.

I got to see Elvis 4 times in concert when I was much younger. The first time I was 2 years old in 1969 when he was making his first comeback concerts in August 1969. The other three were between 1975 and 1977 when I was 8-10 years old. That man could make you have the chills and goosebumps with his voice when you were actually there in the audience. And no matter what his physical condition was, he always put on a top performance when I saw him.

He didn't die on the toilet...smh. Elvis' bathroom also had a lounge chair & dressing room in it. He was found in front of the sink counter on the floor face down in the shag carpet. There's a lot of mystery around his death because everyone basically dies of a heart attack...but what caused it? One red flag was that during the autopsy, they noted he had 10x's the 'therapeutic' dose of codeine in his system, which he knew he was highly allergic to.....so what the hell was that doing in his system? More questions than answers. As far as the suit, it's called the 'Aztec Sundial Suit' and is very impressive to see in person. All embroidery with copper, metal & amber stones. Cost him about $10k back then. It was actually made in 1974, but Elvis only used it a handful of times. Then in 1977 he wore it constantly. There are many personal hidden messages in the suit, i.e. numerology, etc. PEACE!

Unbelievably this was his last live concert before he passed away. His body may have been failing him but his God given voice never did. He still sang with all the passion and strength that he had from the beginning. When he sang Unchained Melody at this same concert kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZfRi5Wge7WGqLcsi=tzxc_adyDLkgSYF_ it is heartbreaking, knowing it would be his last performance, seeing the toll it was taking on him. He had many health issues, his addiction to prescription medication was only one of them. At the end I think Elvis was feeling very much alone and trapped by his own fame.

Great reaction! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, this was a concert 6 weeks before his death, but his voice was ON POINT! Elvis had a lot of health issues, but the amount of pills that he took lead to a quicker demise in his health. And you are correct...Elvis died on the toilet after a heart attack. So at least The King was on his Thrown! 😃🤴👑

It was closer to 8 weeks that he passed away. This was his last filmed concerts for a CBS special. He did more concerts after filming and then went home for a 6 week vacation. On the day he was due to leave for Portland to begin another tour he passed. He died in his bathroom of a heart attack. He was a few feet away from the toilet which shows he had gotten up probably to get help and fell to the ground. He was found much later. I've even heard rigger was setting in and yet because he was Elvis they still tried to revive him. A nurse had to beg them to let him alone he was gone. I think no one wanted to believe it and no doctor wanted to call the time of death for him. His death was the lead story on the news that evening. Your so young I don't think you can understand what a huge deal it was for an entertainers death to be the lead. Only 3 channels to watch and no 24 hour news. This meant the news was serious and rarely were there fluff pieces. Straight up news. His death was that important. The world stopped that day.

Not sure why whenever a clip is played from 1977, everyone must repeat the same lines.... he's sick.... he's 6 weeks away from death, etc. They always fail to mention the quality of the songs, & especially how the power & intensity in his voice increased at this point.

I believe Elvis had real health problems, every time he went in the hospital they found more problems-he had insomnia, hypertension, Glaucoma, liver disease (which I think is the real cause of his bloating), a mega colon, arthritis, and he had heart disease. It was also discovered during his autopsy that he had an autoimmune disorder. A lot of these conditions were hereditary (his mom, and her brothers all had heart and liver disease). I think Elvis definitely took too many medications, but I think they were attempting to treat misunderstood health issues with what the had at the time. Elvis was not taking drugs to get high, or escape, he was trying to survive and continue being Elvis for his fans and in order to support the hundreds of people who depended upon him for their livelihood. Most drug addicts lose weight and get really thin, and emaciated-Elvis was bloated-he looks like he has ascites from liver disease(bigger tummy with thin arms and legs). It makes me sad that most of his health problems were not well understood until recent times-no MRI, CT scans, ultrasounds available and autoimmune diseases weren’t even considered until recently. He was a very I’ll man, and followed a similar degradation in health as his mother did, over a period of a few years.
