I just get more and more impressed with Hadley Hockensmith...he can do ALL genres of music. His jazz is so awesome. There's seemingly no end to this man's talent. God certainly has blessed him!!! Easy on the eyeballs, too.

I was listening to Phil driscoe in the 80's-90`s, bill maxwell played drums for andre crouch for years and managed his career. Hallelujah they still sound gold!!!

I've been digging Hadley for almost 40 years - sweetest vibrato on the planet, and he plays like he's in the kitchen at 2 a.m. with nobody around. You know, the stuff we WISH got recorded, or at least heard by one other person besides God. Insanely enough, I'm going to continue to play guitar anyway.

This is amazing! From his days playing with Koinonia to the cool breeze sound of Scotland & Dreamy, this is off the hook! I believe that's Bill Maxwell on drums and Phil Driscoll pouring his soul into the mix.

It's all a put on. Just because the singer contorts himself like a bad puppet doesn't mean anything other than he's a dipshit.

I can't believe I just now stumbled on to this, but sure glad I did! Thank you Boyd for asking them this "favor"! Admittedly, I am a blues hound, but coming from this caliber of musicianship, it's special! Often, some drummers dislike a slow blues because "there's nothing for them to do" (except when it gives them a rest after a burner!). Maybe they should listen to Bill play the blues. It all about the feel! Phil's vocal talents are PERFECTLY suited to the blues, LOVE IT! And HADLEY! BRO! You know there is no one I'd rather hear play the blues than you! For all these years, I have admired your God given gift of communicating passion through your guitar. Your session mates Michiko Hill and Pee Wee Hill are also extremely gifted players, I am anxious to hear more of them! Thanks for making my day! (again).

I know it's hard to repeat some impromptu jam sessions, but it would be great to see these guys together again. With Abe of course. Hadley reminds me of my high school science teacher. If you close your eyes and listen to Phil, you'd swear its Ray Charles.

Can someone tell me which scale the guitarist is using in his SOLO ? please please
@geetarnut8 жыл бұрын
Hadley is using mostly "intervals", which are tonally effective, and so he's really using a "mix" of note jumps which create a certain "pull",, on your tonal sensibilities! Remember,, scales are all interwoven, and when someone like Hadley plays,,, well,,, anything goes!!!!
