Your Russian sweet that you call the nut looks very similar to a Korean treat that is shaped the same way and it has red bean paste inside. It is sweet taste and very popular for Koreans.

My step mother is Russian. Her and my dad and siblings live in Russia close to St. Petersburg. They showed me how to make different types of Bourche with breads and add sour cream and we make it a lot!!!! My favorite is with chicken, shredded cabbage, diced onions, celery, carrots and potatoes! My dad loves the fresh fish just cooked on a salt rock but I can’t eat it lol but I love Baklava from Russia and they’re candy!!!!!
