Syrok is my new obsession- I just had a box with 3 different kinds arrive today and I'm trying not to eat it all because the shipping was expensive. I imagine frozen is the default in Russia. For everything. If you want it not frozen, you have to do something to it. BTW, I used to live in Alaska. Alaska is the number one state in the US for ice cream consumption per capita. At first I was like, why do people want a cold snack a cold state? Then it hit me. Convenience. For more than half the year, it's not perishable, and you don't have to do anything to get it ready to eat.
