Poor Alfredo driving directly into almost every one of those dropped grenades at the start of the chase 😂. What a good sport he is for agreeing to punish himself further with more classic Tomb Raider. We love you Alfredo! And we will always love you too Chris ❤️

I like how Chris is worried if Alfredo gets frustrated every time Lara dies (well most of the times). But when Alfredo laughs, Chris follows. Now that's what I call love.

I also understood it as Lara not knowing of the danger of removing the amulet beforehand. I imagine she saw Von Croy arriving in the car, after all she was only slowly flowing down the river when he got out. So that's when she realized he's the one all those men worked for. Good going with the jeep! I'm still messing up going in reverse, I never remember those controls XD Also you made me realize the jumpswitch was also never explained anywhere in the game, so it's not actually obvious what to do with it. But at least you'll come across it several times and it becomes obvious! I'm looking forward to how Alfredo will deal with the special one-of-a-kind interactable objects :D Though I imagine he'll figure them out quicker than many of us did the first time XD

There is something about Last Revelation cutscenes, and Lara herself, that just adds up to the charm. Maybe it’s Jonell Elliot, or Lara’s new look-I honestly can’t tell! But I love it, and I certainly can’t wait for Alfredo’s insight on Chronicles-Red Alert! especially 😇 Amazing to see you both happy, and to experience Alfredo’s first times with Core Lara. Can’t wait for new episodes! 😊

13:30 I hate this part and skip it by exploiting a glitch: it’s possible if from the beginning of the level you’re really quick and cut corners to scootch through the gate or get a push from the guide before it closes, skipping this tedious puzzle completely. It makes the level feel more like an actual car chase instead of being slowed down by having to open the gate. This trope of vehicle sections breaking flow by forcing you to climb out & solve boring puzzles to clear the way turns up too many times in games besides Core Design’s Tomb Raider games and I fucking hate it. Half Life 1+2 and Duke Nukem Forever 2011 are the top non Tom Raider examples I can think of. The River Ganges did this too if you wanted all secrets or took the wrong path as did Tibetan foothills except the latter was mandatory like here.

I think they should just change Jean Yyves' name to something similar like 'Jean-paul'. I hope they can come to an agreement with the real archaelogist, to use the character if they use a different name, in future installments.

It’s actually 2 levels: Valley of the Kings followed by KV5. They’re doing both levels at once as they’re quite short so it makes sense to name the video after the song.

Changing the track's name to "Jeep Struggles" after this 💀 "You can get out and explore anytime" Alfredo: "I don't think I will" lmao. To be fair, putting numerous places to stop and explore during a "car chase" while you're getting shot and exploded is... not very good design. It just breaks the whole "thrill" of it. They should have just embraced the chase of it all and only put items/secrets in the area where you have to open the gate. Also, Alfredo is right. Why was Lara chasing them? it makes no sense, it should have been the other way around lmao.

Tibetan Foothills and The River Ganges had this problem too except like KV5, in Tibet it was mandatory to get out and clear the way. I hated it then and I hate it here. Half Life’s On a Rail & all Half Life 2 & Half Life 2 Episode 2 vehicle sections pull this crap as well. Duke Nukem Forever takes the piss out of them by making Duke refuel his truck.

@lionocyborg6030 while true in both of those cases, neither had the chase element to it like in tr4 which makes it worst lol, it's like hey you're supposed to chase this truck, but there's a dozen stops to make, but don't worry they won't get far. Also, the fact that the level is so short in tr4... I find it flows a bit better in 2 and 3.
