The remaster could make me change my mind about this chapter in the game. I definitely don’t like this area when playing this back then.

I absolutely loved watching this interview! I watched it the whole way through! Especially the part where Judith and Jonell read out each other's lines! Great touch. Such lovely women to. I hope to get to meet them one day myself as well. I also agree, Kurtis Trent needs a comeback! Thank you for sharing <3

Alfredo's "oh I know what to do" as he continued to blast the bull with grenades 🤭 lmao. That and the comment about "I love how he thinks Lara will stop him from killing himself" were hilarious. Tho I gotta say I prefer when there's less guidance, I feel reading stella and leading Alfredo precisely where to go and what do takes some of the charm way... I understand this section can be quite complicated, but maybe some more general advice to lead him the right way but not telling him exactly what to do could be more entertaining, it's always fun to see when he figures things out on his own.

Nice video, thank you! As said by other people, AOD is terribly underrated, although we all know it was 'half-a-game' really, since it was left almost unfinished since day 1. But still is a good game to be played nowadays (November 2024). A question, though: in light of the fact that a Remastered version of TR 4-5 and 6 (that would be the very Angel of Darkness game!) has been announced a few days ago (already pre-purchased it!! 😉), do you know anything about the possibility of using AOD SCU in the new remastered version? It would be great, while it would be a terrible loss, on my opinion, if they did not allow players to use it. Thank you for your attention. Ciao. :)

The theme song makes me so happy. I’d let it play and play. Also if the game was frustrating me or if I was stuck I’d back out and just let the theme song play. The music has definitely altered my brain chemistry.

Again I feel like Core are hampered by their tech because what they intended to do here… a hub with interconnected paths… was the future of the industry. The loading screens and the fact that going back or between levels was something we just didn’t do back then, makes all this more confusing and frustrating than it needs to be.

With all the guards shooting at Lara, you'd think she could have told one of them 'tell your men to stop shooting at me', lol. Seeing as how she told the sargeant that the other guy sent her.

I heard there was a headless corpse somewhere in the game, but I'd never actually seen the level... and didn't believe Core could have done it, before.

Nice going! I love Street Bazaar, I hope it's not just because it's dhort, but it's such an interesting bit in the Cairo section, with picking up stuff from a car repair shop and then messing with lightning. I wonder if the bull was really originally intended here, or they didn't have time to implement anything new, because he always truck me as weird: It's the Guardian of Semerkhet, why would he be here, and also how would he take a man's head off? Shouldn't it be something with a large mouth full of teeth instead? Ah and I almost forgot the laser sight glitch! Very useful, hope it stays in the remasters. It's pretty handy in the mastabas too, because while you can destroy the gems without laser sight, it might take a bit of time.

When I originally played TR4 I glitched the bit in the Trenches where you jump the bike over the gap _without_ nitro (it takes A LOT of repeat attempts), and bypassed a lot of the Cairo levels (not intentionally, I just didn't know where to go).

Same. And I did it all again without nitro when replaying because I didn't know any better.

I think that 'sameyness' was a criticism at the time. I much prefer the other games with their varied locations, and for me, it doesn't have the same amazement and wonder. I think the devs decided to keep it all in Egypt because of criticism of the urban levels in TR3. They wanted to go back to the mythology and historic location of the first game, but IMO, they made a mistake by keeping it all in the same location. Because it loses that sense of excitement about where Lara is going to go next. I know that you said that TR got you interested in Egyptian mythology and history. Did you know that there's a new PC game coming out, in 2025, based on Welsh mythology (from the designers of Assassin's Creed) called 'Tales of the Mabinogion'- and it's all going to be in Welsh! I'm really looking forward to it. The trailer is up on KZbin and it looks amazing. Thought you might be interested, since I know you are Welsh, and enjoy the mythology aspect of TR.

21:40 I think I either read or saw that on Stella's walkthrough or her channel a while ago but forgot about it until now. Awesome glitch! I always hated this boss and this level in general because of this whole section of it & the planetarium puzzle so cheesing one part of the worst section is a godsend.

Hopefully they do more tomb raider stuff movies and the games are very enjoyable, hard to follow Angelina in this role but I think she did an admirable job and unfortunately Angelina is not going to be able to take the physicality of this role (if you’re reading this Angelina sorry and I hope you prove me wrong)

One minor thing that irks me about TR 4 is the way they show the secrets, they used to show you how many per level, but now it's out of the whole game, so it makes it harder to track them IMO. And I feel like towards the end of the game, I get a bit tired of Egypt. But overall, for me, a decent TR. I also don't like how she has the same outfit throughout the whole game. One other thing I don't like in TR 4 is there isn't an ammo count on-screen when you're firing a weapon, you have to check the inventory.

"You're low on revolver bullets" I wonder why, Alfredo wasted like 6 bullets shooting that first turrent and y'all didn't reload the save 😭 that pained me so much lmao. Also I believe that roof thing in the beginning was a trap door you could manually open but she was facing the wrong way. Alfredo giving husband points for "keeping up with him" was so cute haha, another very fun episode.

Haha watching it is making me so stressed! XD I suppose Stella helps you a lot not to be so stressed as well. Though I was hoping Alfredo would figure out the sprinklers himself, I was curious about that :D By the way, the turret that was aiming at you but didn't shoot wasn't broken - it didn't react to you because you were holding the Weapon Code Key (the card). If you didn't have it in your inventory, it'd shoot you. Looking forward to the next episode where you realize you could open the trapdoor, you just need to face the opposite direction. Will there be any husband points gained or lost? XD

I think the robots in this level are supposed to be based on shabti: clay golems in tombs intended as servants in the afterlife. 10 years or so later, Rick Riordan’s own story about Set & Egypt had full size shabti as robots Sir Terry’s Going Postal style. The TR shabti are bronze though, likely as clay robots would be too stiff in real life.
