You to are very loving and amazing together it's a joy to watch you guys playing one of my favourite game franchises of all time, having played last revelation to death back in the day when it came out in 1999, their was a huge turning point in my life at the time as I saw light at the end of the tunnel. It’s like the Forever Bag in the anime Thundercats: just yell Rankinbass and it opens a TARDIS like pocket dimension to store an infinite amount of items. Bungie’s FPS RPG Pathways into Darkness (also set in a pyramid to stop a god of chaos) they made long before Halo had one too.

This is one of my favourite levels in the game. I remember seeing the air wraiths here first as a kid. rather fitting the wraiths are flying jellyfish given the level theme. I wonder why we all used to call them elementals before the TRLE manual revealed their actual name? Was it Stella or the Prima guide that called wraiths elementals first? Also, the Horus totems we use to deal with air wraiths I used to call Jesus statues as they look a little like crucifixes.

I love how Alfredo got this done in around 30 minutes! It took me close to an hour extra of that, had no idea that Lara climbed that statues to put the pieces on the them, took me FOREVER!! Well done!

This level reminds me so much of Baths of Kitezh in ROTTR. Some areas of reboot trilogy seem like a remake of the classics, like Soviet Instalation/Fools Gold, The Great Caiman/Tomb of Qualopec, Ancient Cistern/Cistern.

And Shadow’s plot is Last Revelation in the other place famous for pyramids with the Y2K apocalypse replaced with the 2012 one. Amaru’s goal is also basically the Golden Lion of the Nephilim myths Eckhardt wanted to become in Angel of Darkness.

The Lost Library is a classic level, looks like a museum when you go into that big main room at the start. I love that the name alone made Alfredo's face light up 😊

Alfredo, you went through these long, complex, HELLISH levels smooth as a snake. You are doing damn great! I remember getting stuck in front of that crawl space with the fire trap for so long, despite being already very comfortable with the platforming, jumping etc. Seeing you nailing it in less than 10 seconds was impressing! Thank you guys for these videos, I'm having some tough weeks and they are like a sweet treat for me ❤

Dusting off my classics nerd hat here but I'd say the sculpted faces on the four waterfalls are based on archaic and classical art of Medusa. Added evidence is that there are carvings of serpents everywhere and the moasaic on the floor after the waterfalls resembles a roman mosaic of Medusa I've seen before. Medusa and Gorgons are connected to Poseidon in both myth and ancient religion.

I've been playing the game on PS1 and it's so dark and hard to see because of the dingy graphics, that I keep getting stuck! The PC version looks heavenly.

Given all the 'This looks amazing,' 'Wow look at the lighting' and 'this looks so nice' why are you asking for a re-skin of these games? (I refuse to call a re-skin with broken controls a re-master) There seems to be a massive 'Lets beg for the games industry to be exactly the same as the film industry' (Tomb raider, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Max Payne, FInal Fantasy, Persona, Dark Forces, KOTOR, Brothers, Dragon Quest, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Riven, Splinter Cell, The Witcher, Paper Mario, Sam and Max, Beyond Good and Evil, Luigi's Mansion, Tony Hawk's, Ratchet & Clank, Demon's Souls, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the list goes on and on) online of late and I really don't get it. Isn't this series of vids enough to show it really isn't needed?

Let's not even mention the fact that the games (TR4, TR5, TR6) need fan patches to work properly and to have a widescreen. Especially TR6

It's a way of keeping the memory intact. Old games take a fair bit of effort to run on modern systems and systems just don't stop getting more and more advanced. You can watch any old movie if it was archived properly but the same is much more difficult for old games. There will be a point when the old games simply wouldn't run and the reskin might.

This level is indeed short and sweet, and I love the concept of it. A fun episode with no frustrations, and no husband points lost 🤭 Loved Alfredo's excitement over the Lost Library, it's gonna be fun but I fear also a bit frustrating! those knights, and all the puzzles, excited!
