5:00 This happens a lot. Talk to the first guy. Fire him on the grounds that he didn't show up for a month and has an irregular schedule and it is "unacceptable" for you. Pay him anything you owe him (don't make a fuss) and say goodbye. Keep the business owner and specify with him the days he will mow and for how much. Go from there.

Glad you are both well. You Gardner issue, the original guy stopped coming for a month, no notification, no apology, nothing nada zilch. I take it you did not have a written agreement regarding the cost, the required number of visits per month, the day and time he was supposed to attend the property and get an invoice for your taxes. So because he did not show up for an extended period of time, he was unreliable, and he took your business deceit (he was not the owner / manager of the business he was working for as an employee), I would tell him through these failings and the deceit, that his services were no longer required. Pay him for the times you owe him before the real company took over and no more. Always, always get something like this in writing to cover yourselves. 👍🏻👍🏻
