He's just a freaking troll. The Afterman Albums are pure Coheed goodness. For me they are the fruition of what I believe Claudio attempted to get across to the fans with YOTBR. He compromised the old with the new styles and it came out as head banging as any of the previous. I'll be singing 2's my Favorite 1, Good Night Fair Lady, and Evagria for years to come.

I think they experienced a lot of studio interference with this album, resulting in the very different audio mixing, the tracks being arranged in a different order than the story progression, and the three “bonus tracks” that clearly belonged on the album. Claudio’s first solo project “My Brother’s Blood Machine” (released between No World For Tomorrow and Year Of The Black Rainbow) was originally envisioned as a sort of prequel story to the Amory Wars saga (I think it might have been retconned). But that CD was released with 66 silent tracks between the 11th song and the final song, named “78,” matching both the number of tracks on the album and the number of planets in the story’s fictional solar system, Heaven’s Fence. If you total up all the songs (including hidden tracks) of the first four Coheed albums (which were all that were released up to that point), they “fill” all but 15 of the silent tracks, indicating Claudio intended the Year Of The Black Rainbow to be 15 tracks from the start. So I consider these three bonus tracks to be core tracks to this record, and I think they are important to telling the full story of this album. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

It's an amazing album for sure, but in terms of their discography this has to be probably the *least* good album the band has put out. Just doesn't compare to the rest of their albums.

@@CadeTheKiller yotbr was underproduced garbage compared to the rest of the albums, fuck that producer. But a lot of the tracks are still good... bad mixes nonetheless.
