The Queensland puppy needed help so the big dogs stepped in.
(A Husky/Great Pyrenees Mix, a Queensland Heeler, a white Boxer puppy, a Border Collie, a Bandog, a Husky, a Lab mix, a Boxer, & PitBull)... Pretty much all of them disliked the aggressive dog (the Lab mix).

Yup, Unfortunately. Just like all bullies... they don't stop until they get it back and a hard way....The owner need to put him in socialization classes. before a bigger dog teaches it a very hard lesson.

Plus that dog could've seriously injured or even killed the puppy, and any other smaller dog. Glad the puppy seemed to bounce back and take it in stride, because that's the type of experience than can ruin even the most solid socialization work in such a young dog!!

Our red heeler cattle dog was captured by a rancher after being either feral or wild for a year or so. We adopted her and used dog parks to socialize her. She had zero patience with aggressive dogs. She'd cannonball herself into them, knocking them over, then stand above them and stare down at them, never nipping or biting. It worked every time. Cattle dogs are one tough breed.

Its funny you say that because i had my bluee heeler and aussie at the dog park one time. Normal stuff etc, im playing fetch with the heeler and the aussie pissed off another dog (she wont stop licking mouths) and like some reptilian trigger in the heelers brain made her turn on a dime and cannonball my aussie like it was wired in her. Than of course they duked it out for a second but its like she was telling the aussie to quit her shit.

Love the music-fits in with the Border Collie and Heeler. Where did the Border Collie go off to before the end? I had 1 bl/w femaleAussie/BC mix (My first-Gem), then 1 Bl/w female (Tess) who had a bl/w son my niece kept named JackBNimble. My Tess got herself a new r/w female BFF (Gypsy Rose Lee) when she was 12 and JackBNimble got himself a new girlfriend Gypsy's bl/w cousin and new BFF after Tess and JackBNimble died. All gone now and I miss them all, but I hope to get a new pup when (and if) my own health improves. My niece has an Australian Cattle Dog or Blue Heeler-not sure which-named Lily.

The Blondie might be in training and in the process and he just needs to get it through his head that he needs to behave. Young pups and dogs who weren't given the training they needed when younger sometimes need an older dog to give them a nice nip to let them know that behavior isn't right and is shamed for it.

But that isn''t how you correct their behavior. You have to be consistant with correcting them for their bad behavior. That's a great opportunity to train the dog. If it ends up not workiing then take them home, but don't stop the trips to the park. This dog might be a rescue who had never been to a park. You keep sending your kid to school even if they don't get along with other kids. right? Same with dogs.

Not really enough info to go on to determine what the problem was exactly and no info on the dogs history but: The dog did not act like a “heat seeking missile” a truly dog aggressive dog would have fixated on another dog and charged in right away and would not have been pulled away so easy. I did see some inhibition issues. He wanted to clamp and hold the pup down. His body was somewhat stiff. With the activity of the other dogs he may have become over aroused and be prone to what’s called “predatory drift”. It looked like it could be a lack of socialization and a lack of knowledge by the owner could be a contributing factor. I would recommend a reputable behaviorist for the owner and dog if it seems to be an ongoing issue. Not really enough to go on though.

I know she should of removed that dog already , I’m glad he films what’s going on so no one can say your big bully dog was jumping at my lab! Fred Dagg oh yes it’s absolutely heart breaking , my dog I had for 15 years was there for me for the most horrible time of my life. His name was jack , he was my loyal protector, would love me and come cuddle me if I got upset and would snuggle with me and keep me safe. He protected me so many times and was fiercely loyal too, he had cancer and omg I tried so hard and long nursing him , in the end I was totally exhausted from caring from him all night and day 😭 I had to have the difficult talk with my husband as my baby boy jack was no longer eating solids and had a fit, it was then We decided to put him to sleep 🥺 It was the worst thing I’ve ever been through in my life so far , we left the vets sobbing, we actually had to be took out the back as it was packed at the time. I still get upset now and it’s been 4 years . He helped me so so much with my anxiety, panic attacks , depression and my ptsd too. My husband got me a little jack Russell boo , she is a loving cuddly girl and another mommas girl , I also rescued a boy called rusty who is a Jack Russell/chihuahua and they had pups so I kept one before rusty was neutered! Her name is Minnie, she is a pocket rocket but she loves cuddles too! I’m now surrounded with dogs who help me and keep me so happy and smiley 😊I’m a glutton for punishment as I know I will keep wanting a sweet dog in my life even with the bittersweet moment at the end , I still can’t be without a dog in my life , they bring so so much joy ❤️ I’m so sorry about losing your dog, I know how sad and upsetting that is 🥺 I only wish they lived longer in our lives than they do, you never know there might be another perfect dog that’s just waiting to come into your life x

Darling blue heeler pup, though going for faces and that sends some dogs over the edge instantly. Owner might consider pup may be better suited for dog park with set aside area for small dogs/pups until less puppy-like behavior. Not negating lab mix assertiveness, just this is why many parks have separate areas for pups/old/small dogs. Have worked with rescue dogs, particularly under socialized ones, for decades and personally not so quick to judge lab owner other than I would have been far more comfortable removing lab mix as soon as saw poor behavior and this mix of dogs. Personally, I’m not a fan of standing while the dogs ‘pack’ at dog parks for just this reason - too much social pressure for some dogs, just me and my preference but I find walking and exploring around the park keeps them from getting in trouble and limiting play group to 1 or 2 playful new friends. Just walk away when more dogs join to help not overstimulate dogs like the lab mix. Absolutely LOVE so many people engaged and passionate reading and interpreting dog behavior here and at dog parks. Wasn’t like that ‘in the old days’ and our pups are all greater for it!

Yellow dog has likely never been properly exercised and disciplined. That looked like a very high level of pent up energy exacerbated by zero discipline and poor social skills. The puppy was an easy target. Once that target was broken temporarily, the yellow dog’s energy became further insecure and unstable. The other dogs picked up on that and began targeting the yellow dog. Yellow dog should never have brought the dog to the park. I would have asked them to leash their dog or leave, otherwise I would have left and I would have advised the other dog owners to do the same. Having an unstable dog at a park with an incapable owner is just asking for an incident.

@@indigodragon0613 That might hold water if that is what happened in this video, but it isn't. The yellow dog is untrained and undisciplined - it saw a smaller animal it could bully - and so it did. Which is the complete fault of the yellow dogs owner!! But if that is not enough then please check the time frames listed below. @2.20 Yellow Dog 1st attack - the only unstabe energy was that of the 3mth old bluey. @2.43 Yellow dog although being held (but not by the owner) goes in for a second attack. The puppy is now cleary frightened and still showing unstable energy. @2.46 Two toned husky (?) and the mastiff clearly step in both went towards the yellow dog (to the right), as the pup moved to the left - still the only unstable or nervous or frightened energy - is that of the pup. Yet the husky and the mastiff went the opposite way. @2.50 Mastiff puts itself between the pup (pups paws can be seen left of screen) and yellow dog, which also can be seen in the frame to the right side of mastiff. Again, the only unstable energy as you call it, is that of the bluey pup. @2.55 Yellow dog slips out of blokes grip and bolts (still no owner insight). @3.15 Pup is showing no evidence of instability and is in fact happly playing (mouth licking) a much larger dog. @3.19 Yellow dog again goes in to attack the pup and is surprised by the husky (I think it's a husky) mouthing him/her (top back right thigh). Again seconds prior to the husky stepping in, the only dog showing any signs of weakness or fear or having unstable energy.... is again the pup. FYI - personally at no time did I see the bluey pup show any signs of unstable energy. The pup was excitable, yes. And each time the yellow dog had a go at the pup, I saw genuine fear, but fearful energy is not unstable energy. And it is the fear that the other dogs sensed and acted on - at least that is what I saw in this video. If your logic held true in this situation... then the husky would have gone for the unstable energy - which was as clearly shown in this video... is the pup and not the yellow dog. And those are just a few examples.... Apart from the yellow dog, the other dogs who got together in a pack to protect the pup. They did so because they were all properly trained and socialized. They may not think like humans (thank goodness), but they know what is acceptable and what is not acceptable behaviour. If the husky (again I think its a husky) had wanted too @3.19 it could have easily taken a huge chunk out of the yellow dog instead of a warning in the form of mouthing... and that is because the husky has obviously responsible owner/s who made sure their dog/s are trained and socialized. The owner/s of the husky and mastiff should be incredibly proud of the restraint and discipline their dogs showed. I know I am! PS... Blue Heeler and Blue Cattle dog - this breed is known by both.

Aussie 1968 I read unstable and insecure energy in both the puppy and the yellow dog. The unstable energy is a result of being undisciplined and unsocialized. It’s also almost definitely a result of the owner being insecure and nervous.

I love seeing this pack mentality when it comes to dogs. it's like an unspoken rule to the recurring members of the park, be nice or go home. seeing them all step in to put this out of control aggressive dog in check is always nice to see. these dogs care about each other and won't let some newbie who thinks they're hot shit come in and bully everyone

That dog needs to be worked with, and I don't know if it has a weak temperament or not. But the owner needs to get a hold of their yellow dog. That was way to much aggression/ or excitement that it had. See if I was there with my dog, I would have to leave because he would try and get onto the yellow dog for that, and I could see that turning into a dog fight. Hell even the pack of dogs looked like they were trying to make that dog do a submission posture. Yea the owner needs to learn what and how to look at their dog's behavior so they can correct it.

the end of that video made me nervous! that yellow dog was asking for a pck fight. And the owners were completely oblivious to what was about to happen. Its a good thing navea (sp) was there to correct him before it happened. My dog would have acted like winston and wanted to take care of it, but winston is a lot more chill. it's dogs like that, that are the reason my dog does not play in public parks. A correction from my dog would send the rest of them into correction mode, and it would be a pack attack or at very least a pack fight. That dog needs 1-1 or 1-2 pack training! I was trying to see if it was the ball causing the problem, but it seemed like it was just the energy around it. That dog, is my worst nightmare at a park.

I learned the hard way that dog parks and puppies are terrible. I mean dogs and dog parks together in general are terrible. At dog parks there is very little you can control. It really only takes a handful of dumb people who don’t follow the rules or just arent paying attention to make the entire experience bad for your dog. I saw it every time I went to the dog park, peopple will be glued to their phones, oblivious to the fact that their dogs are causing trouble or that their dogs are actually being bullied by other dogs. Others will be flirting or chatting with other people, again, clueless as to what their dogs are doing, whether it’s over-rambunctious behavior, refusing to leave another dog alone, unwanted “play” or worse. Some dogs who have aggression issues have no business being in a dog park at all, but their owners think some how getting "socialized" will fix the aggression they are experiencing. My second dog has not been to a dog park ever, I went with a variety of other safer socialization options out there (do some research)

...why would you even take a dog like that to a dog park tho?? It's not just the fact that he's not well mannered, he seems to really lack any canine education and that's why he's picking fights. That can really escalate in a huge group, so dogs like these shouldn't be taken there in the first place. Not until they have learned to socialize well enough (in a controlled environment). I would never even consider putting an ill-mannered dog into a group of dogs I do not know. Some dogs have little patience for being bitten and would fight back if they felt the need, no matter how well mannered they are. Besides, does the owner not worry about anyone demanding payment for damages or even demand that this dog be euthanized? People like that DO exist, sadly. Even if it would be an overreaction, this could come as a consequence one day. This dog shows no signs of understanding, is very quick to bite in an aggressive manner and could easily have injured the pup. All things the owner apparently doesn't realize and/or care about. And if things someday go wrong, the dog will have to pay for the lack of training he recieved. The owner of this dog should have removed it immediately anyway. But then again a lack of 'how to dog park' was also present, so I'm not really surprised... Good thing the dogs know more about how to handle this situation than the humans. Even if that's sad to say.

2dogarage Puppies are not supposed to be treated this way by other dogs, not even their own mothers. The Golden dog was very abnormal in behavior and shouldn't be in that park. Look up Social Maturity in dogs. Puppes are an exception to a majority of corrective behaviors until they get older, this dog was pushing it too far. The puppy was clearly whimpering and on the floor with it's belly up in a submissive position and the Golden dog was still aggressive and not stopping.

I worked at a dog trainer and daycare facility for about a year and the golden child breeds like labs and golden retrievers were actually the worst in daycare. They are smart and usually dominant so they pick up that bullying trait which is okay because it can be corrected but most of the time their owners are self righteous assholes whose dogs can do no wrong so the problem never gets fixed. But don’t get me wrong I have met plenty that we’re the complete opposite one of the sweetest dogs I’ve met was a lab/pit mix so yes the breeds have strong traits but bad habits can always be broken with proper training. And one last thing if your dog is at a dog park and being aggressive to a puppy; just leave. If your dog actually attacks it can traumatize a puppy that young.

If more than one dog is picking on a dog this triggers pack mentality and things will only escalate (i.e. into a potentially bad fight). It's hard to say whether the blonde dog started everything. He obviously was being bad and picking on the pup but the second all the other dogs ganged up on him, Every. Single. Owner. Should have called their damn dogs off. At that point he was trying to protect himself. He then picks on the smaller weakest dog to try and establish dominance so the other dogs will leave him be. Understand dog behavior people. This was a display of bad owners on all counts. The blonde one was trying to get away and the pits kept harassing him.

There is only one problem dog and if you remove the blonde mix, everything changes. If every owner calls their dog and breaks it up, then what? Unless the problem dog gets a serious correction, everything starts over. The best outcome that I've seen after hundreds of dog park visits is for the problem dog to get numerous minor checks by the owner and the other dogs will take care of the rest. Of course, that's assuming the owner can break the dog's attention. A remote training collar would work best. Additionally, Huskies always seem to check other breeds when one gets aggressive.
@misscottencandy15

These are nonescalating dogs engaging with the blond. I believe in this scenerio, the group was on the defensive side of things. You can see dogs allowing him to nip them to see if he calmed down, the boxer was definitely trying to redirect the blond's behavior onto itself... If the blonde had submitted during the asserting I'm confident the others would have dropped it (in this situation with these particular dogs)
