From the day I met Key to him turning 1 year old. He changed a lot over a year! He went from black to silver, to black again and then to black and grey, but he's always kept his brown ears. And his eyes turned from dark brown to bright amber!

Their colouring changes so much as they grow. It’s funny how Key looks like a badger to begin with, now he has the most detailed mask I’ve ever seen on a husky.

@@mamaluvbug987 I think that was a mark on his fur, too bad they change a lot and some of this marks go away, I have a husky too and he's golden brownish white, he used to have a big arrow pointing to his head as if someone used a ruler to trace it, then as he change or shed fur it modify and looked like and eagle soaring in his back, now is just a mark across his back. 🥺

I think that Key doesn’t mind rainstorms because the day you got him, you had to drive through a rainstorm and he got to be safe on your lap through the entire thing. Just a thought! Key had a great life. What beautiful souls, Key and Sherpa, how heartwarming and lovely that they were always brothers, so funny to see Key's first reactions to Sherpa. All the changes in his first year, he was always beautiful and just too cute, and you could see some of his signature faces and stares from the get go and Key just radiates goodness and love. We will miss him greatly, we will love him forever, and Key will always love Jodie and the rest of his family, in their hearts and minds and souls.

Tears all around. As I watched, the memories of my past friends came rolling back. I’ve been fortunate enough to introduce a new puppy to my older dog as one crosses the rainbow 🌈 bridge, taking a piece of my heart with them as the new puppy fills that gap in my heart. I know those eyes, you my lady have a wonderful friend who loves you, and Key knows how much you love him. Cherish that bond for not everyone knows it’s power. As I approach 60, I don’t fear death in my later years, I fear not being able to experience the joy of bringing a new puppy into my life and reaping the rewards of watching them grow and experience their own life.

I know the feeling. I 'm almost 64 and lost my last 2 Border Collies to the Rainbow Bridge last year. I don't know when I can have another with my knee problems now. It just seems when you get older, it's one thing after another. Hopefully, I can get this knee healed and be able to keep up with a puppy or adopt an older rescue BC girl who's been abandoned or whose former owner died.
