In this part of the series I show the difference in the handlesbars, recoils and show prettyuvh all the different mufflers available.

Keep these coming. Have a line on a burnt out 268 that I may have enough parts laying around to revive see how that works out. You also inspired me to dig through the boxes and I have about 80% to Frankenstein up a 154 back to life.

For years I’ve cut small wood since what had is a Poulan wood master but once I started watching Bucking Billy and you I was amazed how those power saws performed. Now I’m hooked and my Poulan looks like a model T compared to a Ferrari. Thanks

Im not gonna lie, when you started this series I thought "who cares, this is such boring content." Now here we are 3 parts in and I find my self rewinding to make sure I understand, and taking mental notes as I search FB Marketplace for 200 series saws. You impress me yet again Tinman. Keep up the great content, you obviously know your audience well.

I’m totally digging this series on what swaps around with what…I’m a total scavenger type guy even in my old age because I grew up a poor West Virginia mountain boy… I would much rather make a part or find a cheap option…. Some of these screws that are $6 bucks apiece to attach a handle or to attach the handle to the anti-vibe support system just makes me crazy… $5 bucks shipping on a $6 dollar screw??? Cost me $11 -$12 bucks and a week for the shipping to get my handle on my build project? LMFFAO!! I’m a cheap bastard at that!! Sometimes ya just don’t have much choice though! Every single saw got some good parts and those screws alone are worth big money and are real time savers when you can pull a couple screws off a dead carcass and finish a project it’s like hitting the lottery for me!!!! God Bless and keep on Truckin!!!! Chainsaw Hot Rodders Rule!!! LMFFAO!!

Good stuff Tinman...lov'en the history and information on these saws. Almost have the Echo kioritz CS-701VL going. She runs now she oils (the oil line was disintegrate... like liquefied... gone two small pieces one on the filter and one on the auto oiler but soft like gum) she purrs for a good ten minutes then leans out, loads up and stalls out. Sucking air, I'm leaning towards seals. Your channel inspires me to be at the bench tinkering on saws. Keep up the great content....Mahalo Tinman 🤙.

Thanks and thanks tinman, a lot great helpful information and tech Tips, I'm so happy you gave all this information to each of us, it's too bad I can't find saw like that. Maybe they all know they're great powersaws to have. I can't wait to see when the give away saw brakes in, and are you going to do more work on the muffler? Yes does sound like it could use your touch, make run way better, or you going to build one for it? Like bucking style would be nice. But I'll keep looking for 266 or 272 for parts. Alway brother be safe to you and your family and friends. Keep all the great work and info to us, I love what you do buddy

Every time I get a saw with a rusty muffler I strip and clean it, found too many full of rust and dobber nests to take the chance
@whatnowstinky2 жыл бұрын
the 162SE muffler might be saveable with a molasses rust removal bath or similar. something that eats the rust but leaves the good metal. sealing the inside of the de-rusted muffler, might take a bit of thought though. pouring in thinned paint and rolling the muffler around is the first method that comes to mind but there is probably a better way.

@mrxlh2 жыл бұрын
Go back and watch the first video of the 200 series, the spark plug angle of the 268/272 is why the 52mm big bore wont let a 61 practica, or 266 SE/XP cover sit down all the way. You will need a 268/272 cover and have to add a hole for all 3 screws to work. You can find aftermarket ones on fleebay for $10
@MF175mp2 ай бұрын
You need a 272 cover if it's a 266 but the holes won't line up. I'm going to drill and tap new holes for it. Another option is to make a hole or try to form a bump with heat to the right spot for the original cover
