You don't need to worry about the aftermarket seals, they last for ages. They outlast the top end anyway, by then it's time to change the seals anyway during the rebuild.

Don’t forget to slip on the heat shrink tubing before you twist the wires together! I usually put the heat shrink on, strip about about a half of an inch in each wire , mesh them together and then solder them. Twisting them together makes it hard to get heat shrink on the connection. Pushing the ends together and then soldering them makes things a lot easier to insulate.

Wanted to say thanks again for this input re the 576, helped me in my purchase. The saw would be primarily in hardwoods, also used in some milling. Interesting was the maximum recommended bar length on husky's website, (so if a warranty event occurred, no violations) VERY enlightening. 32" max for the 576. A 390 carries less bar, as does the 572! If you want to stay within Husky's parameters for bar lengths you'd need to move up to a 395 for 32" or longer!

Hoping the x torq head not going on to that saw! I couldnt agree more with the 576 statement so i bought one. After a few "enhancements" my 576 runs stronger than any of my 372 xp saws. And louder☺.

Nice job on the seal driver , safer than useing a deep socket! I too have a Atlas ten model th48, I spoiled myself a year ago and purchased a quick change gear box for mine! Love my lathe, very handy shop tool!

Always like watching your videos even if its about a another 372. You can always learn something new. I have a 576 that needs a top end that I've been putting off since I picked up a 365 xtorq from Bob. I guess I should get it back together and see how much more power it has over it.

I’m also a big fan of the 576 there possibly a little underpowered in stock form but after I reduced squish and muffler modded mine it felt great
@austindenotter196 жыл бұрын
Dave Wyatt just curious if you did a muffler mod and restripe the carburetor screws so that you can get enough fuel in there to make it run right? That's all that I did to mine and it came alive like I could not believe.

Austin Denotter the 576 I have is a auto tune so I did not have to touch carb screws, (it does not have any) But yes at least 10-15% more power I would say

Hey Walt. You should put together a crank puller kit and seal driver kit for sale. I'm positive people on the chainsaw sites would gladly buy them!

Yup have a bunch out there. Just its a time thing as I build each one, once in a while I'll do a batch of 5 or so. Have to build a couple this next week actually. Then I'm busy again for a few weeks....then will do another batch. Actually had to ship out my personal Husqvarna set...then just finished building another for me and another fellow.

I'm learning a lot from you what size hole should I drill into the cylinder in order to fit a decompression valve in my Chinese Husqvarna clone it's cylinder has a spot cast in it's fins? Kind Regards Dave

M10x1.0 I think is the decomp thread size
@afleetcommand6 жыл бұрын
None. It doesn't need one and all the decomp does is give an opportunity for a leak later in the saws life..:)

about .015 to .020 is where I put mine. It's real easy to drive it right into the bearing. I prolly wouldn't get to nervous unless its like past .05 in

Hey fleet command, can you use OEM 395 piston in a 394?
@afleetcommand6 жыл бұрын
They have different part numbers even though they are both 56mm. Might be wrist pin to crown or skirt length. I don't know the exact difference but they are. Would have to put them side buy side on a wrist pin to figure it out. The 294 is the same as the older Jonsered 2094 and 5. Wonder if the opening or window in the side is different. Don't know is the answer.
