the wrench is not for the gas caps, it's for the spark plug and bar...dont tear up your new caps

+survivalistboards It can be used to get the caps off. You have too use it sometimes cause they get on there. I have this saw and Its sucks until you get it broke in. It will actually idle then and start easier.

That 440 is a good little 41 cc saw. Same size as the 435 with a little more power, better bang for your buck. Great little saws for around the house stuff here and there.
@victorv43407 жыл бұрын
did it come with a chain and bar sheath(guard)? I did not see it in the box when you unboxed it
@tobyvance8933 жыл бұрын
Like mine so far. The oil leak i believe is the pressure caused by filling the the tank full and the pressure caused by the cap. Just start it and run it a few seconds. Itll stop. Great saw

Hold the bar -nose up when tensioning the chain. Also, check the new chain, every dozen cuts or so. Adjust when cool. Also, have saw tuned after run-in ( 5 tanks or so), or do it yourself. Best of luck....

That tool your using it’s to the the side plate off and to adjust the chain loose and tighting

So what happened when you took the chainsaw back to Lowes? Did you get another one or get your money back? My 440 stopped working after two tanks of gas, too! I took it back to Lowes and they replaced it with a 450 Rancher because they didn't have anymore 440s in stock. That one works good.

I love husqvarna because every saw I've owned by them has been incredibly reliable for me for a very long time , and also really like their designs and how they feel in your hand. I currently have a husqvarna 450E2 that I bought from my local small engine dealer husqvarna retailer, which is my go to saw , it's got a great feel, it's not too too heavy , and it's.got great power for a 50cc farm.& Ranch duty saw, and did I mention it just overall feels fantastic in every way when I use it. I run a 16" narrow kerf swedish made "windsor" bar with a husqvarna sp33g "x-cut" micro chisel chain, and with the 16" narrow kerf on it the thing cuts like a son of a bitch , has better power output and feels more comfortable than both model 55 ranchers that I've had in the past honestly. I've just recently aquired a refurbished 440 with a narrow kerf 16" bar and chain on her , paid $230 for it with a 6 month warranty so I took a chance on the refurbished unit , always bought new with all other equipment I've had and have. I got the 440 for taking care of smaller stuff when I don't need the power of the 450 as the 440 being a whole 2 pounds lighter does make a significant difference on how my back feels when I'm done , and I also in general just pretty much almost always have had a second saw laying around in case the main unit goes down for whatever reason. Another reason I bought it refurbished is it came with a 16" bar opposed to coming with an 18" bar like all the new 440's sold at lowes and tractor supply come with which I'll flat out state is def too big of a bar for the 440 , it should never have an 18 on it, honestly I kinda wish it came with a 13" bar and chain honestly as I'd ever run a saw less than 2.8-3 horsepower if I had an 18" bar and chain on it , anything less than 2.8 hp should run a narrow kerf 16"(15") or even a 13" and I'd never put a 20" bar and chain on anything smaller than 55cc's, could my 450 pull a 20"? Absolutely it can and infact anyone who bought their 450 at lowe's or tractor supply will all have 20" bars Nx chainz on them and yeah they pull them quite well but to me I dunno I just think anything smaller than 55cc's should have no longer than an 18" bar , preferably a 16"(15"). But anyway good review , I admit I did cringe a bit when I saw you not only start it for the first time right outta the box but further more 10 seconds later only and you had it buried in the wood already without letting it even remotely warm up , not to mention that you shoulda done a proper engine break in procedure and always always let an engine completely warm up before you use it , especially if you intend to immediately run the engine at full throttle. I always give my machines , especially the 2 strokes a solid 10 minutes to warm up before I use them at all even in the middle of the summer don't matter still something I'm adament about. I also am meticulous in how I maintain all my equipment though , but regardless you should let an engine warm up a bit and done a proper break-in on the motor. But good luck with the saw , treat it well and it should treat you very well for quite some time

They're good saws and retain good compression for many years. From time to time take the bar off & clean the bar chain oiler groove and there should be some numbers stamped into the bar that match the next correct replacement chains.

I'm trying to choose between the Stihl MS271CBE OR HUSKY 44P and think between the video and the comments I've made up my mind to buy the Stihl MS271 CBE....We have a good Stihl service department in my hometown but we also have a Tractor Supply that sells the Husky 440 for $299. The Stihl 271CBE is $389 but I'm going for the better saw and according to the video and comments I think the Stihl will work. Thanks for sharing

Where's your hard hat and face shield??? I used to take trees down and trim for a living and they both saved me from severe injury more then once. I knew a girl whose hard hat kept the saw chain / bar out of her head when it kicked back on her and chewed into her hard hat...

I wish I had not bought this saw. When the chain comes off the bar, the sprocket scars the teeth on the chain. This means the teeth on the chain will not fit back into the bar groove. So when the chain comes off, there is a good chance you will have to buy a new chain. The teeth seem to be hardened steel so the burrs are hard to file off.

Is Husky still doing the Warranty doubling if you buy three cans of their pre-mix at the same time? I bought a Husky Weed Wacker on sale last June and got three cans of pre-mix which doubled the Warranty...a cheap way to do it. And your are right, the ethanol at most stations, you are ahead of the game, even though I still drained the fuel and ran it dry when I put it away for the winter.

I use bar oil on my bicycle chain... It is so smooth, and quiet, especially when I'm being chased by the police. They can't even catch me. Great video... I want to buy one of those chainsaws. Have you had any issues with your new chainsaw since this video production?
