Just ordered the 60v on sale for 400 shipped. Was on an MLK day sale. No brainer with the 8amp batt stock. Will take over much of the work I do with my 455 Rancher and Dolmer 6421. I love me my 2 strokes; outboards, dirtbikes, saws, etc, but I reach for the electrics most of the time these days. I'll be excited to retire my pos first gen Echo batt saw ha ha. Got a few small Makitas that a great for the small stuff. Super stoked for this green beast to show up. Beyond helpful reviews. Much thanks, man.

When Hurricane Helene passed through a couple months back, my Stihl was acting up after not being run for better than a year. Got me really thinking about a battery-powered saw. Most of my clean-up is going to be small stuff under 4", but I do have one giant pecan that was brought down and that big ol' girl is every bit of 60' tall and 3' thick at the waist. Lots of wood in there, so if I do opt for a Greenworks 60v saw, it's nice to know they might be able to handle it.

Thanks for the testing, I'm curious to see an endurance test.

That was in there. The Husqvarna won by a long shot. 13 cuts on a half tank, maybe less! 13 for the pro and 11 for the 5ah commercial

Sounds like your Husqvarna is not reaching full power. They come from the factory governed to 11k rpms. After 50 hrs of use, dealers recommend bringing saw back to tune to 12k rpms. That saw should've chewed thru those logs quicker than in your video. Side note: you can do whatever you want, but please wear appropriate saftey apparel, yes you had eye protection but I've seen too many accidents involving saw injuries. Thanks for sharing this video 👍👍

Someone else said it sounds a little rich... is that what you mean? The saw felt like it was running pretty well, but I'm not an expert at tuning these things. I try to get the saw loaded but not bogged when I'm running it.

@@reusefull this illustrates an advantage of the battery operated saws. The gas saw has have the carburetor periodically adjusted and maintained for maximum performance whereas the battery operated saws simply need to have a fresh battery available. You don’t have to worry about whether it’s running at maximum efficiency (other than the chain of course) .
