Husqvarna 501S Adventure Bike Build (Getting Started)

Scott and Andrew do a shakedown ride on a couple of Husky 501's with a local yokel guide!
The bikes are new additions to the fleet and will be built up to be long range, deep mountain, exploration machines.
The route in this video has been saved and GPS tracks cleaned. The name of the route is Sancho's Revenge and the tracks will be made available immediately prior to the 2021 Adventure Bike gathering in Vernon, B.C.

I carry a folding saw but I'm moving to the Nordic Pocket Saw. Used one that belonged to a friend and it packs tiny, weighs next to nothing, and challenges the biggest folding saws for how big a log it can cut.

$1500 iPhone on your handlebars when you crash, that's a good start. Actually, I do use my phone increasingly. Best to keep it the the pocket though. Also, vibrating kills phones, even with isolation gizmos.

Having just moved from an XR650L to a CRF450L I have to say its a BIG jump, the CRF is so much more capable in every respect, its a beast by comparison

these have so much more power than the XR650L, it's more like the new XR650R. But 60 pounds lighter.
