Even though the brand new 572 beat a 20 year old 372, you can't beat a 372 for an all around saw, and a 395 for a bigger saw. Husqvarna 372 XP best saw ever made.

Great video. Have cut trees with chainsaws and have cut one with a crosscut saw. Them guys that did it with a crosscut had to be something else to do that all day long. I have never cut trees for a living just around the house. Cut the one with the crosscut with my mother in law on the other end of the saw. She was the only other one there that knew how to make it work. Stay safe and God bless you'll.

@@tomkay-bradley3001 I agree. He simply won't admit that 20 years matters. I bet the 572 is dead in half that time. Do I think a new 372 will smoke a new 572? No. I've already seen the outcome. I will say it's a hell of a lot closer than what you see here. A couple seconds diffence over what he has shown here. He has to push his new saw he was gifted partly also.

I have a 1999 372XP and this saw has never given me issues other than they leak bar oil when they sit. The saw has unbelievable power and very reliable. I would never replace it with a new model considering how much that 572 costs.

They all cut. Well. All depends how much $ you want to spend. For a saw to cut a few seconds faster. I am sure you could sharpen that chain. To the point that the saw would have a tough time.

One is brand new and one is 18 years old. Is there a significant technicalogical improvement over the years? What is the difference in cost? What is the difference in maintenance? Do you prefer the operation of one over the other? Since you already own the 372xp, would you "upgrade" to the 572xp if you had to spend your own money? Great video. As ever, you pay attention to the details and make them great to watch.

The 572 is an evolution of the 372 so it's about 200-300 more. Is it more dependable and easy to work on,no way to tell too new. Can't even, get it state side yet. The old 372 pre auto tune is nice and reliable and the average person can work on it without bringing it to the shop.

I run a newer 576 and an older modded 372. The 576 feels lighter (never weighed them) and like it’s got a bit more snort. I just hope the 576 holds up as strong as my trusty old 372 has. I’m hoping Husky continues to develop new saws, particularly a 5 series version of the 395. I would be first in line.

I'm a Husky guy, however, all the 4 series saws are to be avoided, absolute crap. Unless you're pro, see if you can grab a good used 350 or 365. The 365 will run you more money but it's an ANIMAL of a saw. I haven't tried any of the 5 series saws, they look to be great but when they fail they'll be too technical for most non pros to fix, and they're expensive. Any good used 3 series is where it's at.

What’s that an Air Force flagon your wall? My flag is green on my wall, standing for the big green machine. SFMF, if you know what that means. I have the Stars and Bars on my office wall. My GGF was the First Sergeant,26th Georgia, 2nd Corps, ANV. My grandfather was a private in Company A, Georgia Cadets..my family has served this country since before there was a country and I descend from 16 Revolutionary Soldiers, one of which died in the revolution. It is nice to see a patriot on UTube.

Hey I enjoy watching your videos. What’s your opinion on the Husqvarna 572 for the long haul? Do you think it will test the hands of time with durability and longevity like your ole faithful 372? Thanks again and keep the videos going!

Cottontop, I run a 372xp and some 550’s with our church diaster response team. I love the 550’s. They are lite and beast to run. We also have 2 372 on the saw trailer. They both are a bear to run. They will run good for a short amount of time or at least when they are cold but when they get hot you can barely get them cranked. What do you think could be wrong with them. They both are about 3 years old. One has a 24” bar and the other a 32” bar. I’ve been thinking that maybe we should switch over to the 572’s.
