Definitely buy from a pro shop and talk to the parts/repair guys. Pretty sure Kenny produces more emissions than a 3120XP, Chris maybe a 572XP… lol. Great video Chris. The 1 thing I was impressed with at my local pro shop was the sales guy asked me before I bought my saw was if I had chaps, he eve told me he would not sell me a saw unless I did, which I showed him I had them. His reason was from personal experience, his dad was a cutter and had gotten cut pretty good on the lower left shin, pictures to prove it. His motto is simple: Safety over a sale. Good Night Irene

That was great information! I don‘t know how accurate it is, I understand the first two numbers on Stihl chainsaws represent cubic inch displacement? ie, MS361=3.6 cu. in. I have an original generation 2017 model 550xpg and have had no issues with it to date. Stock except mild muffler mod.

I agree! My greatest disappointment with them in recent years is lack of product knowledge by the people selling it. Even at their national event in Milwaukee! I had zero intention of buying a chainsaw when I walked into that Husqvarna dealership and was so impressed by the knowledgeable staff that I ended up with a 550xpg. I knew if I would have issues with it, it would be fixed right. This video demonstrates that very well.

With time the 390/395/3120 will be replaced, as there the only saws available in north America from OEM husky, that are not strato or x-torque emissions complaint. . Brazil or any other non emissions country has the genuine non strato, original version of the 372 or 272 probably the biggest advantage to the older version is they are not as heavy. . One disadvantage is your outside the market it was intended for, so you would have no warranty. And possibly have a shop refuse to do anything repair related to one.

Most of the saws i had at Hoosier. Are of the original design. I even brought are museum piece. A 372 XPW thats original with a limited edition 51.4mm top end. Not available in any market world wide now. Not even the gray market. its original emissions tag is marked 75cc not the normal 71cc

Several years ago I bought a Husqvarna 26 H.P., 54" lawn mower. It was the first new mower I had ever bought. In less than 2 years the axel broke while I was mowing my yard. My dealer had closed so I contacted the company. They did nothing for me. It didn't even outlast its first battery. Because of the poor service on, what for me, was a major purchase. I sold my Husky saws and refuse to buy any more of their products. The dealer means everything, but the company itself SUCKS. I bought over 15 Husky saws over the years, I have a Husqvarna rifle, and my wife has a Husqvarna sewing machine that cost over $2000. I WAS a loyal Husqvarna customer for over 25 years. It broke my heart to be treated that way.

No computer in a chainsaws, guess I’m an old school guy. I’m ready to go back to no computer in my vehicles. I’ll agree auto tune is good for those who can’t wrench but laziness isn’t a good excuse. Time management isn’t realistic. Most tree guys who run non auto tune love their saws. When you love it you care. The autotune and electric guys hate them. As a fella with experience every saw is built with the EPA sitting at the designers desk. There choked intentionally. When you clear a saws throat the computer on autotune isn’t programmed accordingly. They are taking away this capability.
