Instead of flipping tractor tires, he could flip elm rounds. Nice sharing and helping the young man do functional fitness. I worked with people who could only lift something from the gym. They were not able to transfer the mechanics of being a weightlifter to actual work. Please remember all The Gold Star Families on this special day. Oh I got something free from Chris. I grifted some jerky and maple syrup. We both loved it.

@@InTheWoodyard I live right on Crystal Lake, there's been many times I've split wood on the ice during winter, and I've been known to put some tip ups out and catch a few fish, while splitting wood. I think that wood make an awesome video. Pending ice conditions. Plenty of dead wood on the lake since we've experienced a lot of flooding lately.

So first off, I’m glad you didn’t get mad over what I said about the face cord vs full cord, I did not have malice behind what I said, I just said it stupidly. Most of my firewood came from my parent’s property, but the rest has come from a local tree service who has bent over backwards making sure I am happy with my haul. I have no splitter so I just keep hitting the same spot over and over again and eventually it does the thing.
@InTheWoodyard3 ай бұрын
No worries, there is just a big riff between the 1/3 cord crowd and the face cord crowd and the "what the heck is a cord" crowd. And I have to constantly explain the words, use and meaning so it gets old. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hey Chris I am in the market for a new wood splitter. I was wondering how much wood per hour can you split a cod with the ultra. How much faster is it with two people? I got a 33 ton huskee and I am getting a cord every hour and a half.
@InTheWoodyard3 ай бұрын
The cycle time on the ultra is 4 seconds so it is as fast as 2-3 people can go, it is usually waiting for us! I never did a timed teat but with close, good wood and 3 guys I think that 3 full cords an hour would be easy...maybe more.
