Hey everyone, new amateur climber here, started about two months ago with some basic equipment after wathing this channel. Just doing it in the weekend, just for the fun of learning something new. Today is the first day I got over 60ft and if wasn't for the end of the three I could have kept going for a little longer. I think i reached that height where the fear of height stop growing, so definitely a milestone for me. I wanted to thank buckin, because is the one who made me interested into climbing threes.

Enjoyed the tree buck. Always wondered why you’d stop when you were on a roll. Now I know it’s because you wanted the blade to cool down before moving on. Thanks for the lesson friend.💯❤️👍🏾😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸

Back in my splitting days, I have used all kinds of contraptions that were the biggest waist of money. I had an ax that had these little fingers on both sides. When you bury the blade, the fingers pushed the wood apart. I loved my ax. It was a 5 pound ax. A real tool. Someone who knew my dad bought a so called splitting wedge. It weighed 12.5 pounds. From the cutting edge to the flat was 7 inches. The , I call it the hammer side, was 5 inches wide. The head was 5 inches thick. It was on a steel 1 1/2 inch × 3.5 feet long round handle. If you saw it Billy, you would probably throw it in the scrap metal pile. It was the most awkward thing in the world to try to swing. It was a triangle on a 3 foot pole. Billy, it was the most useless piece of crap in the world. I wish I could talk to you. Typing my stories is such a pain. I am now disabled. Had my left leg amputated last year. I don't have a lot to do now days. I miss hard work. Keep the videos coming brother. PEACE ✌

And still some think noise = output power. We have some too in the NE. Good for hearing-aid sales, true. And ... in some cases a longer bar is like a cheater-stick for saw to wrestle you, and cut stuff. Not good. Filing chain IMO is great also for giving you all the excuse you need to drop your pulse-rate and temp for a few minutes, while tuning up saw dentures.
@BuckinBillyRaySmith3 жыл бұрын
problem with filing when yer production fallin' is us grinders end up with much more scale at the end of the day , ok for a company man . but not a contract fella like myself , great for residential . i do like my round filin'
@jacquesblaque77283 жыл бұрын
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith First, I spend very little time filing chain, using Granberg guide to do that precisely, with a couple strokes/tooth, typically every other fillup. The whole idea: KEEP chain sharp. No stump vise needed. The couple minutes filing is an opportunity to sketch out the next work and get yer pulse rate down. IMHO, cutting frenzies are possible preludes to ER visit. No, thanks. I do use a grinder, for others' rocked chains, then file them. Keep on buckin'.
