HUSQVARNA ST224's tensioner SPRING replacement

Complaint was drive stopped working and he found a spring laying in the driveway.

Thank You Very Much. This video saved the day!!! I have the same make and model and mine was doing the same thing. During a blizzard. I followed the same steps and although my spring was hooked up, I noticed that my belt had slipped off. I had to take the spring off, to get the belt back on, and I used the technique to put the spring back on. Life saver. Thanks again.

Great work my friend I have sane one Mine seems weak not much power I bet I’m either missing some springs or they are all stretched out Do they sell the springs at Lowe’s or do I need some sort or repair kit Mines close to 10 years old so I might just rep replace them all

Look for model number on your unit then call your local small engine shop for parts.
