Bit of an update for everyone... Firstly, changed the gearing and put a 13tooth sprocket on the front. This seems to have transformed the power and grunt of the bike. Hill climbs have been much easier and the bike is a lot snappier (in a good way) yet it has retained its overall smoothness. All good! Secondly, increased the idle speed quite a bit. Probably higher than I'd normally run it, but it has certainly reduced the off throttle stalling. Thirdly, there are rumours of aftermarket tank solutions, but not 100% confirmed yet. Waiting with bated breath... First 2 points have made the bike a lot better and I am much happier with it. Hope that all helps, Aaron KNOX

After market tank is ridiculous expensive and so is the aftermarket fuel pump. The gearing 12:45 is amazing on mine super slim lined for rocky hard enduro sections in the states I got a few videos of these bikes too. My wife has one 2 inches lower and has the mako 360 on it such amazing bike. Little downfalls like the tank fuel mileage and fuel pickup are annoying but definitely livable

Battery starter failure? You can push start the bike if there is a battery or starter failure. You guys with kick starters crack me up and act like you have something special. @user-fz8fy4zl1c Some of the KTM's have capacitors which allow you to push start the bike. But because the starters very very rarely ever go out they offer them on one some bikes. You can add them to any bike, like the 24 XCW TBI for $30. Then you can push start a bike.

The stalling and starter issues are strange to me, I've only put about 4 hours on my 300 Pro and haven't experienced any of those problems, though I did have to adjust the idle as you'd expect to on a new bike. I think the stock gearing is a little tall and put a 48T sprocket on which really helps it crawl, but I've never had it bog in the lower revs and the torque feels almost as good as my 380EXC. It sounds like maybe you got a bit of a lemon. I'd also recommend something like a slavens clutch lever, really reduces the pull.

I have ridden both KTM TBI, TPI and Beta back to back as well as Beta 300's on demo day. No way in hell any FI bike comes close to the bottom end power and snap of a well jetted carb. Saw on the video that you are in green map, have you tried the white map for full power? I went for a 13/46 gearing and the bike is a lot better. I had to go up 1 on the back on all my TPI’s too. Ditch the starter button, think it has been recalled twice already, the Nihilo concepts or EE kits take it back to the TPI style buttons and it’s plug n play. Not having any of the fuelling issues, but I’m on the EXC. a friend has been struggling with his Husky. Also, did you change the plug to the one that comes in the box? The stock plug and 14T sprocket are for emissions and noise respectively. KTM expect these to be changed. The plug that comes in the bike is useless.

Standing in attack, no matter how much I lean forward and grip with my knees like hell if I open it up in 2nd it’ll try and throw me off the back and I feel the risk of whisking it coming in. It’s quite an agressive little bike with its snap. Great fun, but on hills it’s no good for me as I don’t like going up stuff on the pipe and you have to with the 150 and I keep crashing.
