It sounds nice! I like the idea of a single cylinder cafe racer, but I don't think I'm brave enough to get a KTM product in this day and age.

I've got both a 2018 and 2024 vitpilen 401 and I haven't had much trouble at all, my 2018 has 46,000kms on it with no issues. And my 2024 has 10,000kms with just a few little maintance issues. Great bikes!

​@@Schaaf courtesy of the BMW, the Husqvarna started making street-oriented bikes after BMW merger.. When BMW left, there were no choice for Husqvarna but completely rely on both BMW and KTM based designs for its functioning in the market.. And that's how legacy of the legendary motorcycle company looses its touch.. 😢

Loved it when I got to ride it a bit last summer - super nimble, fun, little machine. For my weight and size, enough to have fun on Sundays.

Hey Schaaf, what's it like compared to the old Vitpilen. I bought my 22 Vitpilen in part due to the videos you did of the old 401 and 701. I love the look and feel of my bike but to my eyes this new model does not live up to the beauty of the original.

I think the dash looks okay until the shift light comes on. I wonder if that really was Kiska's intention with the UI design here. Like you said, the bad contrast makes it so hard to read

I rode one when it appeared first time, fell in love with the look but half an hour on it cured me. The ergonomics were not for me. This one has no clip ons anymore?! But it also lost the sleek look. Is this just caused by different paint scheme or did they change the "hull"? The old dash was not good to read. The new one --- might cause eye cancer. Basically for me it look like one step ahead and two back... Engine wise, the 650 single in my old suzuki freewind provides much more torque, fun for less vibrations.

The ergonomics are definitely a lot more relaxed now, a great compromise between sport and comfort. What else they've changed I unfortunately don't know, I'm too lazy to Google

First! Long time no first~ My biggest gripe with Husqvarna is they decided to make the Vitpilen 801 (790 engine) instead of the 901 (890) or even 101 (990). Such wasted potential. And they have the gall to charge more than KTM..
