Take aways: 1. Get confident with your numbers asap. Know what you’re spending and know what you’re netting. 2. Face some of your fears to make some sales that are outside of your comfort zone. 3. Streamline as much as possible. This will make working a little easier.

Girl, confidence should be your middle name. You are not only gorgeous but super knowledgeable and smart. There is no reason for you not to be confident! I love being a stay at home mom and to watch your success really pushes me! I am have been selling for 4 months now but Amazon really intimidates me. I am trying to get myself going there now. Knowledge is the key, the more we learn from you and others, the greater our chance of success is. Thank You and I hope for your continued success.

Do NOT be hard on yourself. You are fantastic. Gorgeous, sweet , smart. I ❤️ this vid. Exactly my thoughts. I’ve spent since April learning learning learning. My new model in 2020 is more selective buying. No more buying great stuff just to make a few $. I am a retired teacher and have a small home. Right now it’s full of awesome items that when they sell will only make a full $. I’m not looking for lots of money but just don’t want to waste my time and space. Lol. Thank you and keep doing what you’re doing. You are very successful.

Hi Ashley, thanks for telling your journey. A few questions: 1. How did you organize your business and what bookkeeping system do you use? (Do you keep track yourself or use an accountant/bookkeeper?) 2. Have you experienced any issues with eBay's Good Till Cancel (GTC) feature as described in another eBay seller's video? (I think his name is Pete in Crystal Lake, Illinois.) 3. Where do you store everything? Thank you and we all look forward to your future videos!

My hat is off to you! My own hasn't been so lucky, of course I've not really had any real funds for buying quality products either. Congrats on 20k! I still haven’t ventured into the world of Amazon, but I started reselling my old stuff on eBay in January and just started up on Poshmark. I wish I’d had enough business sense years ago to begin reselling as a hobby, because I’ve passed on so many goodies while I was out and about because they weren’t my size or I just didn’t know what I’d do with it. Now that I’m shipping out a few items every week, I realize I could have been doing this for years! Your videos are such great motivation, thanks for taking the effort to film and upload 💕

Now getting back into, books selling seems to have completely changed. It seems like such a low profit margin. Are you sending in all your books to FBA, how are you dealing with the penny sellers? Would love to learn why you think that is core product for you. Again thank you for the videos. My wife and I have used some of your tips to refine our business 🎉🎊

Great Video. I wanted to kind of share my selling books on eBay story. I started selling books on eBay way back a year after eBay went live. I'm great with books. I'm an avid reader and I read a variety of different genres. I sold for several years before I got tired and decided to do something else for a while. I did very well while I sold, but I'm easily board. After my other endeavor ended I decided to go back to books, but things had changed. Everybody sold books. Thrift Stores were pricing their books higher. Of course, there is always yard sales where books by the boxes can be purchased fairly inexpensively. I ended up doing something that was so simple and really easy. I found an app, and I can't remember the name of it. It's an app that allows you to scan the UPC codes on books and the app tells you which online bookstore will purchase the book from you and how much they will pay. I would get up in the morning and go to the Goodwill nearest to my home. I would pick out books I knew would be worth at least something. Concentrating on textbooks, Sci Fi, Horror, and nonfiction. Then I would find a place in the store where I could set and scan books. My goal, obviously, was to get as many high price books as possible. I was paying different prices for books at different stores. I wouldn't take a book under $2 dollars unless that is all I found. That is still good profit for a book I would pay $.50 for. I could usually get up to $60 per day. I went at least four times per week. I was a little bit sad when my husband retired and we moved to where we live now. When we first got here, books were $.49 each and it was very easy to make money. Now they've gone way up and I don't center on just books. I can't really say we need the money so bad, but I need something to do. I go to sales on the weekend and pick things I know will sell on eBay. I thought this would be a small comment and now I've written way too much. Sorry, but I did enjoy your video.

I just started selling on ebay last month, after leaving my full time career--for now--to home school one of my daughters. Plus I just really wanted to spend more time with my family and I have 2 girls that want to make some money. I have only sold 4 items so far, and I can already see that my girls have been learning a lesson on patience and hard work because they want to sell everything in one day! LOL I am using your videos to watch with them and help us get educated on our new adventure--I can't really call it a business yet. But I am excited to start this mother-daughters team. I look forward to gaining enough experience to sell on more platforms:) Thank you for sharing your insight and positivity!!!! PS...I know nothing about fashion either! I need to carry a list of brand names with me when I go thrifting--do you have a suggested list to start with?

You’re such an inspiration to me. It’s hard to believe that someone as pretty and well spoken as you would be so shy. I wish I could do eBay full time. I have a VERY stressful and demanding job as a nurse; I work close to 50 hours a week. I should only be working 40 hours/week, but since I’m a salary employee, I don’t get paid when I work overtime. Ebay has been my side hustle for the past 5 years. I love the treasure hunt for great items and I enjoy writing the listings and taking the photos. I’m not crazy about shipping, but it’s not back. The only things about eBay I don’t like are the rare occasions when I have to deal with a bad buyer and the bookkeeping. I wish I could quit my full time job and make eBay my full time job, but at this point in my family’s life it’s not possible. I do most of my sourcing at local thrift shops that are close to my home. I don’t go to the GW outlets as often because they’re father away, but when I do go, I get so much more for my money. I need to start getting up early on Saturdays to go to the garage sales. Thanks for another great video. You are definitely my favorite reselling KZbinr. ❤️

I am thinking of selling on eBay. You were talking about selling books. I looked up hard cover very popular books and they are going for just over $3 with free shipping. I think most books I read weigh over a pound! There are TONS of them on eBay so I just don't know how anyone can come out ahead selling them, Nice informative video. Thank you
@lukebeaulieu37945 жыл бұрын
Vinny I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s a large quantity of books with a small profit margin. Whenever I see book dealers they have massive amounts of feedback. They probably have a top tier store with bigger discounts for shipping. If you get into books I would start with paperbacks and obviously use media mail, go for a dollar profit and crank them out. Of course I could be completely wrong as well. 😂
