Nice huts but take a look at Willows Rest Shepherd's Hut in Kent at Airbnb . We went for a couple of days in the summer and booked again in the Autumn and again in January. It is the most romantic, peaceful, beautiful place. totally private with the decking overhanging a small lake with beautiful fish, ducks. moorhens, kingfishers and so much more. immaculately clean and very cosy.

Hi Dave, I subscribed to you after seeing you on Alfie's channel, there was something really fresh about your personality that made me come and check out your channel!! The outdoors isn't something I'm normally interested in and being in the middle of the woods would be my idea of a nightmare but you have completely changed my view, I love watching your videos, I'm just guttered that you only upload once a week 😛

I really loved that part on living with nature and technology: "I guess all growth comes through integration, but this is probably the first time i've been trying to sit with the tension of both in the same place.. and its not easy, because it can be the worst of both worlds rather than the best of both worlds and thats the challenge when you try to have your cake and eat it." Very well put insight!

I really like the idea of a communal living space, the last hut has the nice sheltered area, a bit better than your tarp Dave, maybe you could do something like this but with some couches, if you make the space big enough it should protect them from the rain. So much inspiration, it makes me really second guess the way we live at the moment and why we are strive to have bigger and better. Reminds me of the simple times when we camped for six weeks a year with my grandparents with just a camper van, tents and a river, no toilet, no hot water, no electricity. Some of the best memories of my life. If you ever come out to New Zealand I would love to show you some of our amazing places.

Hey man! When you were saying that a big space would be nice where more people could hang out I immediately thought of a yurt. I think it would fit in nicely in the woods.

this is the media highlight of my week. this is what I am going to see if I can be a part of a sustainable community like the hut life. It's commune like, but with independence of your own place. Really enjoying watching you figure out what Corcovado could be like.

Your idea about shutting down technology by dinner and restarting at 8am sounds great, but made me think that it would put a real dent in Louis Coles video editing time. :) Maybe that would be a good thing for him to get a break and a rest.

Yes i agree wholeheartedly - as housing markets continue to skyrocket making them unattainable for most. Affordable rental accommodation also becoming scarcer as cities gentrify to accommodate only the rich - we're forced to create alternative answers. There must be communal collaborations where people have obtained land and help each other build together ? What you are doing is so enticing .. returning to a slower ( not necessarily easier way of life) escaping the constant pressures invented through greed ..essentially returning to who we were. Like the indigenous people of North America where i live ( Brit expat) and others around the world, who are spiritually connected to their land with the deepest appreciation and constant respect for both living and resting amongst natures splendour. Thanks Dave - you always give food for thought
