Back in 2000, I discovered Hutto coming from Pflugerville and I used to think Hutto High School was part of the Pflugerville school district.

Hutto is a nice, friendly place to live. We have great neighbors, and we also have had good experiences with the schools until high school. Our experience dealing with special education in the high school was somewhat difficult, as they were reluctant to provide individual aides. (Instructional aides were tied to particular classes rather than going with the individual student.) My kids in general education classrooms have done really well, and benefitted from some of the enrichment activities such as robotics. The band program is awesome, and the school owned instruments are professional quality. I have enjoyed Hutto, but it is becoming a little too big for me, as I come from a small town and don’t care for city life.
