Thank you so much for playing my first character, I'm glad you liked it and gave in depth feedback, do you mind if I feature your video on the workshop showcase? Just to fill you in: Grabbing an active item removes it and spawns you a normal chest, 2 keys, 2 bombs and a nickel Batteries (since they're useless) are transformed into keys automatically Range upgrades get transferred into speed upgrades Tear upgrades get transferred into damage upgrades Tech 2 wasn't as impressive as you wanted since it stacks with normal Tech, making 16 lasers. They also stack with Tech x! All tear effects are applied to blue potions, all bomb effects are applied to red potions Yellow potion gives random status effects from freezing, charming, burning, poison, fear etc Blue potion splashes liquid (tears) based on the framecount of the potion After some feedback I've decided I'll nerf the creep of all potions slightly, and make the four potions passive items that you can find on any character, that give a random chance to throw that potion type from each tear, scaling with luck. If Silas is to pick these up, the potion that corresponds to the potion will be buffed alot - Green would get a larger area, blue will get more tears, yellow will get two effects at once and red will split into smaller explosions, or create fire. Shame about the mom's knife, I couldn't find a way to make them fire out from the puddle, as they'd crash the game entirely, so I'll have to remove it from item pools I suppose. I'll see if I can do your slowing time idea similar to the gungeon though!

I'll make it give a high damage up, of course, I originally wanted it to shoot knives out in four directions upon landing a potion hit, but spawning the knives would crash the game instantly, so until I can figure out how to make that work or they implement some way to do it, I'll simply have to give stat increases and maybe something quirky

I'm pretty sure the yellow potion gives a random status effect, not just fire, since I saw charm, fear, stone and shrink effects too. The mod looks pretty fun, and I feel that the lack of active items and random/negligible effects of stat upgrades makes it pretty balanced.

You’re right, I have the mod myself and yellow has horrible damage but it makes up for it by having a large chance to give an enemy a random effect such as the ones you just listed

Hutts there's this amazing item in antibirth called rock bottom. it makes it to where there are no stat decreases at all. in other words you get base fire rate poly and lots of other lovlies.

I actually love that character design. A Plague Knight basically with different potions. It is actually pretty balanced since you'll miss out on every single active item in the game, also every tears/range/shot speed upgrade just translates into more damage. You also miss half your attacks against chasing enemies.

Usable items turn into drops/chests/or sometimes items. Every item you pick up gives you 0.01 speed + the item's original effects, unless it's a range up in which it becomes a straight speed up, no extra range. The Green Potion is pretty much Dr. Fetus + Mysterious Liquid. Red and Orange Potion is well, Ipecac but doesn't poison. Yellow Potion gives a random status effect to the enemies it hits. Blue Potion is a fast shot and shoots some tears, with a blue Mysterious Liquid creep pool.

That explosive tear potion is actually pretty accurate, it consists of two chemicals which release a lot of energy when they mix so the flask is actually two containers that when they shatter let the chemicals mix and thus they explode.

The mask he's wearing is a reference (I'm assuming) to the plague doctors from the Middle ages. These doctors were dedicated to trying to cure/help people infected with the bubonic plague, though most ended up doing it for just the money. The reason the masks were shaped that way, with the long noses, is because people then thought the disease to be airborne, so they'd make masks and stuff things like potpourri in the noses, in an effort to filter out the disease. They also wore goggles, and hoods/cloaks tied tightly, in the same effort ti make sure they weren't exposed to the outside air. You're welcome for the short history lesson :P

It's a plague Doctor, not a witch docter. They were used in Europe at the times of the Black Plague. Their weird bird-face masks were with flowers to help ward off the dead.

Hutts, you need to beat boss rush with Jacob and Esau, so you can get the "Rock Bottom" item. I think it'd be abslutely perfect for you (because it prevents ALL stats-downs....) Soymilk + every damage upgrade, + firerate of 1 = "HE BREAKS EVERYTHING!!!"
