"When your world is gardening, you don't need an escape, that is the escape" I love this quote, so true! I started gardening 2 years ago, but growing up my family gardened and depended on our garden for food production. I really want to get back to that, to that self sufficiency.

@@adamynyrardd It was your name Adam that prompted my comment. It was actually the first ever Adams punishment to have to cultivate the ground and make his own food for survival.. And ironically here we are praising the fact that we can take part in the (punishment) cultivation of the ground ........as we were given the task to have dominion over the planet. Maybe its our way back to eden :-) Genesis....... cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Gen 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; Before his punishment Adam needed to do nothing for nature did it all by itself. The chicken coop is not cleaned out often, he only gets the manure compost out once a year. And the quails get pine needles as bedding. He uses that in fresh form (some people advise to wait) the blueberries love that. - the Duck quad are slug eating machines, he has a Welsh breed that is very docile. They even love to eat brassica leaves etc - but they are good ducks and meander their way through the garden in seach of slugs. They do not damage the plants.

@@patriciacole8773 We don't really have zones in the Uk but we roughly correspond to between Zone 7 and 8 but could be as broad as 6 - 9 depending on the time of the near, we don't have much constants in Wales!

This is what my ideal garden would look like! You've done a terrific job Adam! Was taking mental notes, and screenshots for future reference throughout the entire video. It looked absolutely amazing, and so practical - especially from the sky view! 🌱🥕🍅

This is brilliant! Thanks for sharing!! And separate form gardening I’ve been learning Welsh for myself because I just think it’s a beautiful and fun language and it’s so so great hearing his thicker accent. That’s been the toughest bit, honestly. I can’t picture how the words are supposed to sound and the cadence. His vowel sounds and lilting and emphasis! So helpful. I hope that doesn’t sound weird haha. I don’t know anyone who speaks it, so all I have are strangers on video to listen to haha.

I loved the "Quack Pack", we have 3 chickens and are considering ducks. The more I look into it the better an idea it appears. We are also thinking of the Welsh Harlequins as we'd like to support the breed as we too are based in Wales. I will look up Adams Instagram site to develop my gardening and Welsh. What a star, thanks you so much for sharing.
