I was so convinced by my "A/C" mechanics that it was an actuator or the entire system needing to be replaced. After doing their recommended procedure to disconnect the battery and let it sit for an hour, it would reset. It didn't. After much research on KZbin, came across this and just finished the re calibration procedure. My A/c on both sides work perfectly and now its blowing colder than ever! Thanks so much for the assist!

I am sure the bulk of you guys have already figured this out but there is one thing that was left out of this video. When you are doing this you need to doit with the driver's door open. When you turn off the key and wait 15 seconds and all those procedures if the door is closed then the HVAC and the radio will stay on as I'm sure you all know. But just incase someone was doing this in a really cold place and had the door closed and was having issues with it I just wanted to point that out is all!! Thanx for sharing this info with everyone, great video!

I have a 2004 Yukon. Cold air out of drivers side snd hot out of passengers side. I had just replaced the lower passenger side actuator about 3 months ago so I thought it was defective because I bought it from amazon although it was quiet and not making any kind of noise. The original had stripped its gears and could head the noise. Saw you video and a couple others dealing with this problem. I liked yours better. You explained sequence better and showed exactly what to do. I followed your direction and at the end I had heat on both sides. I could not see any sequencing going on while it was recalibrating like your video showed snd it was quiet so I thought it wasn’t working but after two minutes I turned vehicle off and then restarted and it all worked. Thanks for the excellent video. I definitely did not want to to rip the dash out to replace those hidden actuators. $1000,00 to do that

Great video. I had a prior problem with my 2004 GMC Sierra drivers side blowing only heat. I replaced the door actuator and it fixed that problem. [I didn't know about the reset procedure so never reset and it worked fine]. I am now having a problem in a/c mode blowing a/c for awhile and then switching to heat by itself. So I performed the reset in this video. The first few times I performed the reset, the fan would only blow through the defrost, and the fan levels wouldn't change. On the third reset, it finally worked. I haven't yet determined whether the reset fixed the a/c heat fluctuation issue (will have to drive awhile to figure that out). I have heard on other forums that my problem could also be the a/c pressure switch going bad (which costs about $20).

Very Good My Man 👌🏻 I been Fighting an 02 Escalade, and after this Proceedure, it has appeared to have fixed my Issue, I either had Flesh Burning Heat, or as soon as you touched the Climate Control, to Reduce Heat, it would go Stone Cold. But I will say, I had to Cylcle it Back and Fourth a Few Times, all the way Cold to All the way Hot, and it Seems MUCH BETTER now, still seems a Little off to me, but it is working now, I do think I'm going to replace the Hot / Cold Blend Actuator, it just Takes too much of the Heat away, but as I said, it does Function now. And also mine has 3 Turn Dials, and the Temp Knob appears to Lock into AUTO as Well ??? 1 thing I would add, is If you Have Rear AC, to Pull BOTH HVAC Fuses, at least I did anyhow, Our Rear AC is Bypassed but there is still a Fuse there, and BOTH OF MINE WAS 30 AMP

I have a gmc envoy. I have no power to my rear console heat. Fuse is good. The front heat controls works perfect. Thanks for your help!

Before I did this my passenger side was blowing hot driver side cold. Now driver side hot and passenger side cold ? Does this mean the controll module is bad? I repeated this again Now it’s working ❤
