I really hope you see this. I want to say I appreciate you so much. My husband and I really didn't know much about building anything, wiring anything, or plumbing. My family and I bought a lot of land and we are doing a shed to house conversion. My husband it's handy either. lol Your videos have helped us buy the right things and we have started our build out. I feel confident that we can do this because of how informative your videos are! I really want you to know how much I appreciate you and how you have been a big part of making our shed a home. We are also able to teach our 14 year old son and 16 year old daughter how to help finish there lofts out as well to make it there own.

That is so awesome you are learning so much from my channel! I think it is great you were teaching your children to work hard. That is how my parents raised me as well and it was not fun at the time but it pays off in adulthood. Thanks a lot for watching my channel Sharon. Good luck on your projects!

Same for me. I bought my first house 4 years ago, and I’m closing on my 8th rental unit in the past two years this month 😅. Completely self managing myself. This channel along with a couple others have made it possible. Thanks!!

@@brandonjensen5292Hey Brandon, that sounds amazing. I just started following this channel. I have a 5 rentals I manage myself. I’m considering getting hvac schooling especially to help me manage the properties. Could you tell me some ways that you’ve been able to manage your properties, or what kinds of problems came up in your rentals that you were able to fix?

Ty ty ty so so much! I work with a home warranty company processing authorization claims for homeowners for the contractor to do the work needed and understanding all of the HVAC systems and changing this out to be compatible with that has been alot for me to fully understand. You helped me a TON with this video and you should DEF do many more videos as you do an AMAZING job explaining it in super simple ways to make it easier to understand. So, again, ty!

The flex runs should be pulled tight for better efficiency if you aren’t running solid pipe. You lose minimum 20% efficiency by running flex.

awesome, a condenser that doesn't have the line filter installed inside the compressor housing. When that filter gets too rusty, put it inside near the evap to keep it out of the weather and getting rusty and leaking. Think you'll be happy with 5 ton in 3k sq ft, if not you can tweak it by reducing static pressure (using a freer flowing filter or adding supply/return plenums), converting to conditioned crawlspace, insulating like with heat control film on select windows, and rafter vent baffles in the attic to keep the attic cooler. Did you get a Manual J done, since the house was still under construction?

Hello. I know it is 10 months late but in reality, all units have a 10 year warranty on the following if registered within time. Capacitor, contactor, fan blower, compressor, evaporator coil, condenser coil. In essence, everything is warranted with the exception of labor. Hope your unit was registered!

Hey Josh, I've read many times that the most comfortable heating system for residential use is a radiant hydronic system; with hot water run through a concrete floor slab or with baseboard units. Why is it so rarely used? Do people in your area use it?
@TheExcellentLaborer2 жыл бұрын
I have never use that for heating a floor. I have heard of people doing it but I have not seen it. Thanks for watching!

Hey Josh, I'm curious to why you didn't run the flex vent thru the entire ceiling, maybe cost? And my house is 1756 sq ft. and with my heat pump it runs around $160 a month, when we've had nice consistent weather in the past I have had our power bill down to $58 in one month, but very rare occasions😆 Awesome video my friend. Jay 👍 👍
@TheExcellentLaborer2 жыл бұрын
I always like to have the unit in the crawlspace in case the condensation pump ever got plugged and leaked. It would not leak down onto the drywall from the ceiling if it’s in the crawlspace. Sounds like your heat pump is efficient as well. I used to burn wood heat growing up and I am definitely sold on heat pumps considering you don’t have to cut wood😂. Not bad monthly for your heat either! Thanks a lot for stopping by Jay!

Can anybody tell me if I can install a Mr. cool slim unit with a Unico system. I have a property line dispute and I don't have much room. Most people never heard of a Unico or space pack system. I'm just using it for ac only. I have radiators and a boiler. I only have 28 inches wide. A typical condenser is 29 to 35 inches wide. It won't work. Thanks for any help anybody could give me. Much appreciated.

Wow, this is really not very good info. An AIR HANDLER is all electric-no gas. Thays not a furnace. A furnace burns some type of fuel. Look for a gas line and a glue pipe goi b out your roof. Supply registers always go at outer walls, near doors and windows. Thermostats are not to be installed on the inside of exterior walls, or in a place where sunlight will hit it. It looks like those returns are rite next to an exterior door. That would be a nono. I hope that’s not a door to a garage.
