Great job. One thing about fixing one leak is that it will lead to another one if on the same pipe. Water will always find the weakest spot in the pipe. Excellent idea to shut off the hot water and cap. Keep the great videos coming. I paused it and prayed for you too my brother.

Great job, guys! I'm not surprised your nerves are jangling, with the possibility of a rather large wet surprise with the unknown of whether it will be hot or otherwise contaminated. I image that the (unthinkable) reality is that this is that this is the equivalent of putting a sticking plaster on the wreck of the titanic. Sometimes I think you really do get the worst HVAC jobs known to mankind! Is it as bad as it looks on camera? It would seem a HazMat suit would be in order just to ender the building... How is such a place even fit for any kind of habitation! I dread to think of the contaminants being blown around by those air handlers. Thinking about it almost makes me feel bad for that HVAC equipment in such an awful environment!

Did JumperMan make a follow up video of the air handler repair the next morning? That's the video I want to see. JumperMan you're really dramatic in this video, KZbin I guess. How about buying the right wrenches/ 6-point sockets and ratchet extensions along with the wrenches for those fittings, HarborFreight sells tools that are good enough for occasional use; you can even use a power impact wrench to make the job go faster. Do you own a pipe grover? The manufacturer of those fittings says that a lube should be used on those caps, the lube both lubricates and seals. Probably a 90-minute job, mostly finding valves and watching water drain. Did you stay in the building while your helper picked up the caps? He should have picked up four. I don't understand why you didn't repair the handler at the same time, but scheduling is your prerogative Thanks for the video, it was interesting, that building engineer should spend a few weeks labeling things down there.. Why in the hell do you engage in these nickel and dime handyman projects where you don't actually fix anything, and just bubblegum and bailing wire repair this equipment to stop the bleeding, Remove the length of pipe and several of the victalic fittings, lube the gaskets, and overlay the rotted tin on the top of that cabinet, because you know eventually, you'll fall through it , from the rot on top of the cabinet. Now you're going to have to come back AGAIN to do the same work. UNLESS they plan to replace the AHU in August and replace 90% of the piping,,,... where are the strainers too? Or am I missing something? I wouldn't have even started that project and allocated enough time to repipe much of that, I understand that you do what the boss says. Why not just valve it off and come back the following day to do it right...ALSO what do you think the cooing coil tubes look like? echhhhhhh.
