You don’t have to remove the bottom panels to change these pumps. Just 4 screws hold in the pump and 2 plugs to the circuit board. Make sure the float isn’t stuck in the up or down position by any of the cables that run near the float.

Seems to me the float was working backwards,,off when down and on when up?? 13:45

No it was working properly, continuity when down and breaks circuit when up

The float doesn't really control the pump on these units. Whenever the unit is in cooling mode, it will run the condensate pump the full time(?). The float is a lock out float that will put it into a CH-04 error and prevent the unit from operating if it is up for too long.

The float switch running the pump directly was my first impression when I made the comment, I didn’t realize it ran continuously when in AC and used as an safety shutdown switch

What a terrible design on that unit, you gotta take the whole thing apart to service it
