I retired 3-01-21. After 31 years in the Union in the Bay Area. I was told when retirement happens it’s not a graceful exit. One day you will realize your done. I had all the year vested . That happened in a Friday and a trip to the hospital I had Exhaustion. I knew at that moment I was done. I called the Union and turned in my truck the following Wednesday. Your body will give up before your mind will. You youngster take care of your selves. I’m enjoying time with my grandson and riding my Harley or motor home on the beach coast.. I still consider a lifer of the trade . Because it’s the best trade to have a career in Good job bro

I know I'm young, but I take it easy for this exact reason. I don't do things that could kill my body in the future nor push myself more than needed. Sure I'm young, but im invested for the long run. Happy retirement!

Nice to see you back and posting videos! I hope you and yours are good and everything gets/got figured out with the other company. I'm also glad you showed the correct way of installing the CFM with breaking off the all threads, removing the plug, making sure the blade is in the right place and making sure the cap is in its proper place. It amazes me how many times I see some or more often than not, all of those things done incorrectly

I also verify rotation and place the rotation wires inside the conduit from the motor to the edge of the shroud. I’ve seen bare wire on jobs before that would shock you badly due to the sun eating the insulation.

Thanks for the videos and sharing your experiences with the industry. I just had a question regarding the end where you found the compressor shorted to ground and bad cond fan motor. Wouldn’t you have wanted to possibly run a quality/acid test on the refrigerant inside comp. in order to determine the severity of burn-out? Then when you submit quote you can either account for virgin refrigerant or recovering and re-charging rather than having to go to customer halfway through the replacement and inform them there is an additional charge? Or does the company you work for just factor in new charge on estimate to be safe?

I usually smell the refrigerant. Lol. Don’t recommend. 😂. But if it smells bad, then I quote a flush and Virgin refrigerant.

I understand making sure that your cap has power to it if using the 3 wire method but your saying that you've seen the motor over amping if you land the brown/white wire to the cap and have power going to the cap from another source? Like you said the wires are the same inside the motor so in my mind, electrically it shouldn't matter as they are the same line
