If you have to have your ducting cleaned, you need to ask yourself the question of why did it get dirty in the first place. 99.9999% of residential unlike commercial systems should never ever ever ever need to be cleaned.

@@kaleflick9039 Flex is for lazy techs, only time it should be used is for areas that is impossible to run hard duct. The air loss sucks with flex and the HiGH probability rodents and animals getting into the flex in a crawl space and make a mess.

@@scott5654 there's no correct way to install it one 5 foot straight length of flex pipe is equivalent to 3 square throat elbows in resistance to air flow, look it up. In commercial applications engineers restrict sheet metal contractors to just 3 feet of flex per branch coming of a Trunk line, and no more.
@jflood236 Жыл бұрын
Exactly the goal is always to use the least amount of flex. We also don't use round for the trunk, we use for example 16×8 and reduce down the longer the trunk. Or whatever the cfm duct requirements are for the square footage of the house. Just have to make sure you bubble wrap for isolation, mastic all the joints, then wrap the joints.
