Thanks! Jumper Man Tech. I'm in hvac school and I do building maintenance at a hotel here in Montgomery, Al. We have LG VRF and the videos you do on those have helped me tremendously, Thanks bro.

Wow, thank you Joshua! I really appreciate that super thanks donation. That was my first one. That's awesome. I service mainly hotels around the city. I'm very glad those LG videos and other videos have helped tremendously. Totally made my day. You're very welcome & thank you 🙏 Best of luck in your schooling. The fact that you're researching and watching videos online, you're ahead of the pack. Glad to see you and everyone here bettering themselves and growing. Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

It appears the "building engineer's" job is to call you for the simplest of repairs. Thats why everything has been bypassed, disconnected or just removed, no longer to be found. Seems like they would have on hand, belts, filters, ignitors, couplers, Your apprentice will be an all around service tech due to the wide variety of equipment you encounter! You the man JMT!
@JumpermanTech9 ай бұрын
Haha I hear that. Another person mentioned if there was a flow switch on this unit and there is one. Probably bypassed. Quick "fix"! A lot of hack jobs done in this building. It's ok because it gives me plenty of work. I love fixing things and bringing them in better shape. I hope so regarding the apprentice comment. Thank you brother! 🙏 Always appreciate your support🔧⚡️

A lot of jobs Building Engineers use to do are outsourced for now. Big tax write off for the building, and warranty for work done by technicians

Quick tip...if you are using non T handle allen keys...the end of your adjustable has a hole in it. Slide that over the 90° bend of the allen and you can use torque and it acts like a T handle. I deal with a lot of pumps with couplers and various styles. Lovejoy and Woods are popular brands, especially for the rubber couplings.

There should be a flow switch on that boiler to keep the burner off if there’s no flow through it.
@JumpermanTech9 ай бұрын
This is correct. There is one on the unit. It's either bypassed or stuck in the closed position. Something I definitely need to look into during the next visit. We will be conducting a combustion analysis for all of the units. I will note this. Thank you for the heads up & thanks for watching! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

Was there a flow switch on that unit. It should not have been firing if there’s no water flowing. Flow switch May have been bypassed or stuck closed.
@JumpermanTech9 ай бұрын
Thate a great point. There are flow switches on these units. I agree with you. I have seen a switch bypassed before so it's possible that was the case unless it failed in the closed position. There are a lot of hack jobs in this location. Something that needs to be checked for sure. Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

I noticed that most of the things you work on you never saw before. You just go slow and methodical with a little experience and common sense. At the end of the day, things are working. Then, when they ask, "Do you do big chillers? You are like, yeah, i work on that. I am a God Damn Technician. "

Did the old HSI gasket stay stuck to the cabinet? If so, double gasket isn’t the end of the world in that burner vestibule.

you rarely ever would have to change the metal pieces of the coupling. the rubber part of the coupling is designed to wear out....not uncommon at all, especially since that one side was loose as you noted.

Love your work jumper. It’s a shame about your socket set , I just recently left my pocket co detector at a job and it’s a bummer. I work by myself now but used to have a helper that was real good about tool pick up. HINT HINT

Great video, actually have a customer with 8 of these units. 4 in each building but they are twice the size. Four gas valves and two blowers. First time out there I had a holy crap moment, do mostly residential but took a breath and opened up the manual that was there. Now when I go there their not that scary just a big boiler

Man there’s zero maintenance done, luckily the so called engineer doesn’t blow some thing up! There should have been a high temp alarm from that boiler and lock out, no wonder the igniter was burnt off it’s been shutting down and trying to restart until you arrived? Don’t think there’s any preventive maintenance done here or basic parts stocked, talk about run to fail! It’s obvious there’s no inspector or yearly tests done to these boilers! You need to sell them a yearly inspection package!

Trane quality control has really gone downhill, back in September we installed a brand-new Voyager RTU and on start up we had a dead compressor and found 3 leaks on the coil 😂😂
@JumpermanTech9 ай бұрын
It seems to be this way for many manufacturers. I just posted a video on installing a brand new packaged hoshizaki ice maker and it came with no refrigerant because of a leak. You can SEE the pipe connection at the compressor wasn't fully brazed. What a shame. They really don't make things like they used to. My window AC is 23 years old and working just fine 😂 Thanks for watching! 🔧⚡️
