That condenser would be a good one to be on a 8 inch riser install all condensers on 8 inch risers here in Michigan for two reasons the winter time we get snow, the summertime grass, clippings and weeds around the unit and all the pine needles around that one seems like the homeowner would rake those Away from the unit…. Stay Safe Curtis 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼🔨🪚

Great idea to leave the Refrigerant AS IS until Spring or Summer. 🤔👍

Some my relatives are from Louisiana. Five years ago my uncle was up visiting in late September. One morning he woke up to us having a hard freeze and was wondering how we handled it because we were heading out with just hoodies on. About the time we got up to head out my son come out wearing a hoodie and shorts headed to school. Had to laugh. I had to layer a jacket and hooded sweat shirt today cause the high was only 19° and the wind chill was only 8°. Calling for 5 to 10 inches of snow Sunday and Monday. Then supposed to have single digit highs and below zero lows. I guess its time for some freezing so we can get a late mid winter thaw. Good old Iowa weather frigid winters and baking summers. My grandpa always said if you could handle the weather here you could handle the weather anywhere.

Back in November I was on third shift and had to go up to the roof in 40 degree weather and clean/pm 8 units. Cold, dark and wet. Wasn’t the best time so I feel ya playing with water when it’s cold isn’t the most fun in the world.

Always empty out hoses when your done. So it doesn't freeze up

Curtis I found putting on some of those disposable shop gloves before I start doing something like that helps keep my hands warm. I guess the latex holds the heat in and keeps the cod from the water off. Also helps just to keep my hands warm when working on things on a cold day. Just thought I'd share that with you

Missed a spot, just kidding. I don't think it could be any dirtier. I think you made the right decision, not worth putting a bunch of money in. Pressures look ok, sometimes better to leave well enough alone. It probably hasn't run that good in a long time. Nice job!

I suggest getting a set of cheap rain gear (top and pants) for emergencies like this. The gear will keep warmth in and block any breeze that there might be. I state cheap because slicing open a $20 set on sharp metal is nothing compared to the investment in a $50 or more set being ruined. Everyone reading this should keep a set or two in their cars and work trucks.

Years ago working on the boats, we used rain gear all the time in winter, keeps you dry and warm. Heck I remember sweating in the dang things.

I have question that you might be able to help with: I have a Carrier Air Handler under warranty that a fan motor went bad on me (4 year old system). I have a one year labor warranty and 10 year parts... My Ac installer wen to the local Carrier part supplier and told me that there will be a $ 100.00 warranty fee to get a new blower motor (which I paid). Is this right? I was under the impression that warranty on parts was 10 years free of charge. I understand the labor because my warranty was for one year only, but I assumed parts were free of charge for 10 years. Thanks in advance for your support. Great video! I see all new videos, including the Spanish versions. HV

Send some of those 30s our way to southern AZ, Curtis. We've been having a winter that winter weary northerners dream about: Mid 70s during the day, mid 40s at nite. But for us year-round residents, the coldest temps we can get right now would be appreciated to offset the hellish conditions that await us in a few months 🥵. After back-to-back record heat summers, if it SNOWED in Phoenix today, I wouldn't be upset!!
