Diadophis punctatus, commonly known as the ring-necked snake or ringneck snake, is a harmless species of colubrid snake found throughout much of the United States, central Mexico, and south-eastern Canada. Ring-necked snakes are secretive, nocturnal snakes, so are rarely seen during the day time.

Super cool to watch you and love your format. I just installed mine and am happy with the performance but I was worried the compressor was hurt. It vibrates on start up and shutdown and makes much more noise than my little .75 ton LG mini split. However, yours sounds like mine so maybe it’s fine. Happy days I hope!

In 1976, I installed an a/c unit in my bi-level house in Cheyenne, WY. The condenser was on the ground and I purchased approximately 30 feet of precharged line. The condenser and A-coil were also precharged. The system wasn't highly efficient due to the house wasn't really designed for ac, but my wife wasn't able to have the windows open for ventilation. Keeping the fan 'ON' during the summer did make it work. I don't remember the brand or how much our electric bill was over the six years we were there.

Hey, I installed one of these (Mr Cool branded) in my house. Horizontal air handler in crawl just like your setup. Love the unit and it has gone thru two summers and winters. Never called for aux heat when in pretty cold temps. Really great. Anyway, I noticed that your coils in the indoor unit have a baffle to keep water from jumping past the pan. Did it come like that? Because mine didn't and the case is wet inside from jumping condensate. Seeing yours made me think Hmmmm, maybe that's what i need. Any knowledge on this? Thanks for posting!

It may not be a gree but it looks similar in some of the fins, grate and shapes. Get one. Old style ones and their fan and shroud are loud and chopper no matter how you shape it. They have higher static pressure it's trying to chop the air too hard.

Thanks Curtis! I'm just over a year now with a Fujitsu unit at my own home in Sacramento, Ca.. I'm not totally content with the heat mode for our milder winters. I'm using 15kbtu to cool most of the main floor with 6-9k in each bedroom. The 15k doesn't do as well for heat as I would like so we still use natural gas 35k btu wall furnace to heat. Downstairs stays at around 64* and upstairs 68*-71*. Not a very efficiently insulated 1939 2story home. 1000sqft downstairs and 500sqft upstairs. Finally, no more window shakers!!!! Main floor was cooled with a 24kbtu window unit...oh, the noise! :~( No regrets on the fujitsu for my own home other than I would do Mitsubishi ceiling cassettes next time because of the cleaner look but more $$$. Gree going in my sisters condo in Boise if the HOA gives their blessing. Our house in Jcksonville, NC will be getting a Gree, too unless I find a better deal.

I'm pretty sure a line voltage over/under monitor performs a different function from a surge protector, they compliment each other. Surge protectors act very rapidly, acting mostly on sudden brief voltage spikes and surges related to lighting, usually surge protectors are sacrificial, protecting the load - sacrificing components in the surge protector in the process. These are two separate, different functions, they complement one another.

Hey Curtis I don't think you realize how many people you just helped by posting your video on the gree flex. And testing it out. As when I first watched 6 months ago I thought the gree flex looked exactly like my Mr cool universal and so to confirm the condenser is the same I just took off the front cover and unwrapped temporarily the compressor blanket and sure enough the compressor said gree on the front. But unlike mr cool gree is not marketing it as a, diy unit. And giving bad install instructions like telling people if you use a conventional line set or braze like you do install a biflow oil filter as I see from your gree you did not need to install one. But telling people if they use the quick connect so called no vac linesets, just hook it up don't vacaum spray actaul soapy water to test for leaks and release the refrigerent. But here's the catch they say no need for a biflow with the quick connect linesets. Ohh and there's more Mr cool says if doing a vacaum don't hook up the high side valve to vac that side out just the low side. Before releasing the refrigerent. When using the conventional braze style line sets like you do. Anyway you may have inadvertently just solved a big problem for many people Including other newer hvac techs. Ohh and is your condenser running on a 30 Amp double pole or 35 Amp or 40. Mine says max fuse or breaker amperage is 35 amps but the panel I have and box is only rated at 30amps along with the breaker in my main panel. I hope that is enough for my condenser to run at startup. Anyway thanks again for posting this install Video as I see pioneer is now marketing one too that seems so eearlily similar to the Mr cool universal series and gree flex wonder if that is a rebadged gree flex too.

Can you explain why you hooked up green outside? And no white from thermostat?
@HVACGUY
@HVACGUY Жыл бұрын
If no heat strips are installed, when it goes through defrost the blower actually stops so it won’t blow cold air. So you don’t want white hooked up from Tstat. And there was a spot outside for G. So I Thought why not hook them both up. I can jump system out from outside.

Gree explains it does nothing. It's just they reused the same thermostat wire block on the outside and inside units, that's all.

That’s great. Guess good in your climate. We heat with gas, but at night turn the furnace way down. Too cold for me, so I run oil filled electric radiator in the bedroom. Is it cheaper? Who knows. My last electric bill was $185, gas bill $95. Unfortunately, use resistance heat in garage, and shop when I use it. Also, heat garage to 75 as I like it warmer than wife does. I’m considering buying the tools to do a mini split heat pump in the garage. I do not want the Mr Cool crap. That means buying vacuum pump, flaring tools, and gauges. If successful, save a lot. If not, then hire help. Appreciate your videos.

Produces 95 degree air down below zero degrees, and blower stops when going through defrost - if no heat strips are installed - so I don’t need them. Our lowest temps around here are 17 degrees, and it rarely goes below freezing.
