*Always keep some 3/4 inch rubber hose with you so that you could cut it to size and put it around the wires when running it through that metal like that (without a grommet). If the holes are smaller, you can always slice the hose lengthwise and squeeze it through the hole.* *I cringe every time I see wire going through a hole without a grommet. I've had many service calls where wires were worn through from vibration, eroding the insulation, and ground out the unit/ tripping the breaker.* *As for the missing motor rubber vibration dampener, the right thing to do would have been at least go to the hardware store, get some gasket material, cut it up in squares, build it up to height, and drill a hole in the center, to ensure that vibration/hum isn't going to go through the duct/house from the bracket being in contact metal to metal.*

I just worked on that exact same model unit this morning. Mine was horizontal in an attic. I don't like how that metal door cover (for the fuse block) falls down into the electrical compartment where the heater kit wiring is. 😎👍

13:10 we have a new housing area nearby where people basically live right on top of each other. They spent almost a million dollars for the homes and hardly have any land or space between the homes. I don't understand it.

A 3/4 hp blower motor is rare for an air handler. I keep a 1/2 hp standard blower motor, 1/3 HP condenser fan motor, and 1 HP Genteq (X13) blower motor in my van, and 99% of the time - I have what I need for any unit.

That sucker looks way older than 7 years to me. Grease dem rails with superlube, Curt. Works a peach. Keep a box of isolation dampers in the truck. They dry out and become useless when they get that hot anyway. Clean the wheel with foam before install, no?

Hey great work as always on the videos! Enjoy watching you solve problems and learning myself 😀 Question about capacitor, got one at a rental that’s rusty so can’t tell the rating. What’s the best solution? I gonna definitely test the old one and get the next one up from current reading. It’s for the compressor, others separate capacitors, on older package unit. Thanks Jason
@HVACGUY Жыл бұрын
If you can still read off the compressor it should tell what size capacitor. If it’s a Copeland, and you can get numbers off of it, the app will help you.
