No new filter drier....that module was flat. I could understand if it had some pressure on it when you arrived...but flat....needed a new drier

What was the ending soundtrack? Loved it. Also, it seems to me vibration caused the crack in the first place would you not been Better off replacing the stem entirely?
@epicone24492 жыл бұрын
Yea thicker service stem would be better but than you gotta drill it.

I work on chillers too 🤜🤛 I don't understand why manufacturers use the long stem pressure ports , it makes them too fragile . Had one cracked the other day as well , replaced it with a shorter stem one and strengthened it with the brazing rod .

Not to mention they use the puny tubing. Its pathetic. I'm with you. Shorter is better. Keep pressure on the lines, drill it out to use a 3/8 stub, and add enough so each device can be on its own process fitting. I think avoiding the tee fittings is good practice too. Although the argument that then there is no core behind the flare is valid.

I was working on a small chiller system once with a bad low pressure cut out, replaced it did the normal steps. I was still above the unit and dropped a pair of big channel locks while I was on the phone with my boss at the time, it bounced off one of those fitting's and the stem completely broke it off lost 55 pounds of refrigerant.

Why didn’t you change the drier? Some Hackery….

Yup!

I was thinking the drier needs to be replaced....system was flat...not in positive pressure. All that moisture was absorbed into the drier media.

So, do chillers just cool water that is being used to cool of equipment or other things.

Don't know how you do it with just acetylene, I need to use oxy and acetylene to get me the fine point flame
@bmillwood66663 жыл бұрын
You should have replaced the entire port. You should carry those on your truck. I'm not a fan of the small copper ports. Leaks waiting to happen.

Can you do a video on the pounds? I’m having difficulty on the job knowing how much I should put in. Just a video on charging in general would be dope. Even electrical.
