@@TheBorre Yup. And they have an electric cargo and sports version now that does 80 Km/hour and is available with airco. Don't know what they would cost in the UK but here in Belgium the Cargo S+ with airco costs +/- 17.000 Euros. With our government pushing everybody to buy an electric car by making driving cars with a combustion engine more and more expensive, I'm planning on dumping the car and buying a Cargo S+. Especially because I always travel by train when visiting a city like Antwerp, to avoid parking problems en costs.

They do but they ruined them. From a 650cc turbo 4cyl with 70hp and 185Km/h top speed it became electric with 7hp and 45km/h top speed. It goes without saying that it has 10 times less range also...

Part of the North and West-Coast of the mysterious Zuidland was already discovered. Willem Jansz 1606 (Dutch) from the West / New Guinea and Torres (Portuguese) in 1606 from the East (southern pacific) Hartog 1616 at the west coast and Houtman arrived in 1619 roughly sighting the area where today is Perth, Australia. The area was named Nieuw Holland. That name was even used by English explorers, for instance Dampier in 1699 [who wrote: A Voyage to New Holland (1703)] Abel Tasman set off from Batavia to Mauritius to use the major west winds from there and go more south than a.o. Houtman had done. This was deliberate, because they wanted to figure out how far the continent extended towards the South Pole. His ships ended up quite south (rather closer to the Antartic) and encountered lots of snow and rain and then changed direction to a bit northern course. So that's how he sailed to "van Diemensland" (now called Tasmania). End then went up further east to discover Nieuw Zeeland's islands and sailed back via Fiji and the northern coast of New Guinea to Batavia. Tasman a year later charted the northern coast of New Holland. Key point is: some English nationalist parlementarians campaigned in the 19th century to rebrand the name of the continent from "New Holland" to Australia. In for instance the USA the name "New Holland" remained in use for most of the 19th century. The "dumbness of Tasman" tale was deliberately used and told in the 19th century English propaganda to support the "claim" that they should change the name from "New Holland" to Australia.

Ernst Neumann built a tilting 3-wheeler between 1945 and 1950. BSA/Triumph made the Ariel 3 in 1970. Dr. Edmund Jephcott made his first tilting trike in 1980. The Mother Earth News designed a series of tilting trikes called 3VG, beginning in 1983. GM introduced their Lean Machine in 1983.

Up to mid 19th century the entire country was called Nieuw Holland and the neighbouring islands were called Nieuw Zeeland. Where James Cook landed, he called it New South-Wales. A British nationalist campaigned relentlesly during the first decades of the 19th century to change the name to Australia. But even in for instance American texts and documents from 1850 you do find the name New Holland for the continent. Use of the name Australia ultimately won it. Probably because Englishmen couln't stomach that New Holland was a larger landmass than New England, Nova Scotia or New South-Wales ... Off course we were used to that. Nieuw Nederland (New Netherland) has been renamed to New Jersey and New York (the state), while Nieuw Amsterdam was renamed into New York. But hey, the Dutch invaded England in late 1688 and the British now call it "The Glorious Revolution" and stubbornly maintain they haven't been invaded/conquered since 1066 (William the Conqueror).

shame these have always cost so much, and the new ones are gonna cost even more it seems. they look amazingly fun but at that price it's totally unjustifiable to get one of these when you could just get a used japanese crotch rocket for under 2k. in fact you could literally buy an entire navy sized fleet of crotch rockets for the price of one of these.
@motanelustelistu4 жыл бұрын
What new ones ? The thing died in 2009 and the so called "successor" of it it's basicly an EXTREMELY heavy scooter (normal one weight at 70-90 kg,while this one stands) at 300 kg :O it's limited to 45 km/h and only goes around 100 km range. If this machine sold for the price of the cheapest CAR in Malaysia, I believe the seller would capture the market for motobikes. The manufacturer could have adopted portable battery packs for four slots like NIMBUS did for their EVs. Two packs can be used while another two can be charged at home, OR you can have four fully charged batteries on board for long-distance travel. If I were them, I would build a bracket for a small gasoline generator powered by hydrogen separated from H2O via the process of electrolysis. This generator is to charge the batteries.
