Love your videos, and that your using your jeep for jeep things then gently returning her to a better condition. Your refurb of an old skid plate is definitely the way i would go myself. Next time, grab a wire cup brush and you'll get that rust off way faster. You can get them for drills or angle grinders. I have a found those are the fastest and you don't even need to grind or use a flap disk, just the wire cup brush. If you need to deal with some serious rust, you might want to get an air compressor($100) and use a needle scaler($30). Also with an air compressor you can get a cheapo sand blaster from norther tool.

@@SmokinMonkeyOG Having the room for it is understandable. We've all been there. Just putting it on your radar. I'm just now learning about some restore things too and I didn't know Northern Tool had a $30 (USD) sand blaster. I may pick one up if I ever by an air compressor.
