Thanks! The same road (hwy 65), but instead going north and diverting to that canyon to I-70. Glad you liked it!

I like this drive as well. I’d highly recommend people make this drive, it is ever changing throughout the year.

It really is a special drive and you are right...it changes through the year. I'll try to get it again from the north later on this year, I hope.

@@backroadsofcolorado I plan on doing the drive later this year as well.

Is really pretty this year! And it will likely be nice all year up there...a great drive probably all year long.

My dad use to work at the eckert Creaamery in the 40's. Stop at the steakhouse ther for some great food! RJ's Steak house. We use to live on the other side of the hill from you on school street., My dad , Mr. James was a 6h grade teacher at the Jr. High, I use to work at KRAI there. So much snow this winter at the ranger station! It was Crazy!!!

Hi Andrew, Your name is familiar. We have probably run into each other in the past, and your Dad might have been my or one of my relative's teacher. We used to live in Olathe and occasionally would go to Cedaredge. I always liked the area so it was nice to video some of the area. What ranger station? The only one I know the location of is Zenobia Peak, in Brown's park. Thanks for commenting!

@@backroadsofcolorado there is a ranger station at the visitor center. As you're going up the cedaredge side, just after you pass the Scottish trailhead, it's there on the right hand side. I was up there in April, there was still snow at least 15 ft deep there.

Ok. I saw the turnoff! Yes makes sense...the snow even here in Craig was really high, and north of Steamboat in the dozens of feet (Buffalo Pass). Has to be nice living close to Grand Mesa!

I had the same sarcasm !

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds these things worth sarcasm! Naming a driveway...so there is no number...just a name...makes it difficult to place too. I suppose using a mapping app counters that, but still seems a bit arrogant. Will farmers be naming their field access roads next? Maybe naming cattle guards? I do know of a female politician who believed cattle guards are people! And, sometimes its fun to point these things out. Thanks for your comment!
