Thank you for this video. I’m slowly incorporating an HX Stomp into my rig, and I just ordered the WR IR pack for my D18. I followed along with your video and got a “test” preset to try out in the morning. Can’t wait. Researching about my guitar setup, it sounds like I can forego my DI entirely and plug straight into the HX Stomp. I’m excited to try it. Great job, excellent video. Just subscribed.

Hello ... What a great Video, full of great tips and information. You have really convinced me using the Line 6 Stomp over a multitude of individual pedals, especially with an acoustic. Thanks again.

Amazing video. I grabbed the IR version and I use 3sigma audio IRs for my nylon string guitar (Godin multiac duet ambiance). I heard people saying IR block should be always after the preamp block and not at the beginning of the signal chain, what do you think ?
@LeFeversAudio Жыл бұрын
Huh. That doesn't quite make sense to me, though maybe there's a reason I'm not aware of. To my way of thinking, the IR is basically pretending to be 'the sound of your acoustic, with a mic on it', so I'd think that goes before everything, and then any preamps etc would be next in the chain. But if it sounds good, it is good!

This is great information! I was looking at getting an HX Stomp, primarily for my Bass that feeds directly into the PA system. And I got curious whether I could build presets to make my stomp do double duty to serve my acoustic as well. Resounding yes. Thanks for the vid

Nice! Yeah that's precisely what I picked up the Stomp for. I had a combo bass/acoustic pedalboard and wanted to downsize but still be able to do both things.

hi, friend! loved the video! i would like to have your opinion. i already have a tc electronic impulse response loader, and i intend to buy a strymon bluesky and a lr baggs align series EQ. do you think this pedals is better than have a HX stomp (by it self, only)? thanks for your attention!
@LeFeversAudio9 ай бұрын
Hmm. Yeah, I mean, in a lot of ways having separate extremely high quality pedals is probably better than the Stomp. I know I haven't found a reverb algorithm in there yet that challenges the blueSky, that thing is wonderful. I mainly ended up switching to the Stomp because I had six or seven separate pedals and that was too much money to have tied up in an acoustic board; selling them all off and going with the Stomp I actually made a profit. But if that's not your situation the separate pedals are definitely more fun.

Would I be able to download this onto the Stomp XL? I just got a great offer for one on reverb and am stuck deciding between that and the standard stomp. Planning on using it for acoustic guitar at ceremonies and worship services with ambient freeze functionalities.
@LeFeversAudio3 ай бұрын
Yes, I think the XL can use the same patches, as far as I know.

Hi, why are you using two EQ blocks? Couldn't you get the cuts you want with just one block? Thanks!
@LeFeversAudio Жыл бұрын
I don't have the patch in front of me but I believe I'm doing some of the cuts on a graphic EQ with pre-set frequencies (125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, etc) and then when there are specific frequencies I want to work on that aren't part of that list (if I needed to edit, say, 320 Hz or something) I use the parametric EQ to zero in. There's also a block that just does high and low pass filters so sometimes I use that one. The HX EQs aren't as advanced as a really great EQ plugin, you sort of have to work with that they'll give you.

If you don’t have $500, you can get 90% of this tone quality out of a Cube Baby AC for $30. Also, it’s battery powered and way smaller
