Thanks for the walk-through and demonstration. I'm a sound engineer who plays mandolin and banjo and has a Pod Go. I've had issues with pickups not sounding great at gigs and church. Your tips and tricks have inspired me. Thx!

Glad it helped! I just bought a new banjo and was relieved to find that this patch works well for that one, too, with only minor adjustments. I’m hopeful that that means these moves are broadly useful and not only for my specific instrument(s), hah.

Nice vid! One little tip. If you add some dampening behind the nut and bridge it'll really clean up the sound, it gets rid of that extra ringing. Come thin leather cord usually does the trick though I've been known to use a hairtie in a pinch.

That pick up is passive right? How do you boost the signal with HX? I'm having issues preserving the tone as it gets louder. Thanks

The mandolin pickup is passive, the banjo one is active I think. I use a Gain or Level or whatever it's called block to add volume if needed but I don't think I've run into too much trouble with it.
