Lending things like plants or personal items are things I don’t normally do. They are expensive, work and personal to me. Is not being mean or selfish but what you got back was not acceptable nor an excuse from her to not take care of them. BTW, you display is exquisite 😊

I’d hate to get a plant back that I loaned and it was half dead! Your friend should have given it back when she said she would if she normally can’t take care of topiaries. I wasn’t sure if I would plant my usual bulbs for Spring because they have such a short display. You’ve convinced me otherwise. I just have to purchase the right bulbs. Also, I’ve never loaned pots but I see why people would request to borrow yours. They’re outstanding! 💚

Hello! I really enjoyed your video! Your spring containers full of tulips and other spring flowers are absolutely stunning. I see you live and garden in St. Louis region, do you have any experience with scilla siberica blue flowers? I bought some bulbs but than did some research and see some people say they can be invasive. I also live and garden in 6B, Springfield, MO area 😀 We are almost neighbors!!!

It’s not selfish it’s actually smart. Don’t loan your tools partyware , kitchenware or plants to anyone. I can’t tell you how many times things came back, dirty, broken or pieces lost. It’s cost me hundreds of dollars over the years. And you know what, the people that do these things don’t care.

I would be heartbroken receiving one of my plants back in that condition. 😨I don’t loan my containers or plants out to other people because I would find it difficult keeping track of everything’s whereabouts. Another excellent instructional video! You would be a great teacher. On loaning anything: I keep a “loan log” - any time I loan a book, movie, or anything, I write down the date, the person’s name and the item loaned out. It keeps people accountable when I can tell them exactly when they borrowed something and then “forgot” to give it back. Thank you for your great videos!

In the future, just sell the arrangement. Often "friends" are really not friends. They see the beauty of your life and want what you have "for free". This person does not value your Divine talent and professional expertise. After witnessing exactly what went into creating the magnificent arrangement, she should have offered to, at least, rent the items. Although this person seems to be a "user" and a taker, You must also share in this blame. Please stop allowing others to diminish your talent and who you are. It is quite alright to be generous with others. This is how you propagate your incoming blessings. However, you must acknowledge your own worth. Provide humble respect at all times so that you may receive the same courtesy. Your talent and expertise is worth more than "FREE.99". Even if others refuse to respect you, " respect yourself " and move on.

Where do you put that tray of muscari bulbs for the winter? In an unheated garage? I plant bulbs in containers and leave them on my driveway but my challenge during STL winters has been to make sure they don't get too much moisture and rot. Love your videos - I always learn something and I'm always entertained! Thanks.

I do not loan out any of my plants. I don’t even like moving them around once I’ve found a place that works best for them. Myrtles are expensive and finicky. I hope they come back for you, they should,

When a person is as generous as you are with your plants and containers, it can be difficult to remember what went where. Maybe if you take a quick picture with your phone as you drop them off or they pick them up, you'll know who's got what. Just an idea. Hope your myrtles recover.

No ma’am your friend was wrong! You did her a huge favor and she did not take care of your topiary. She could at least have called to say it wasn’t looking good and she should have returned it to you. People don’t treat your stuff like you do. To avoid hurt feelings don’t loan out anything that you care about. Gift it and it’s on them to take care of it. Are you gonna do a video on taking care of mums? I haven’t bought any yet because I have zero luck with them. Mine die quickly!

Hey my friend! You would have to chill the bulbs and then bring them out! Most bulbs depending in the variety need a chill period of anywhere from 6 to 13 weeks in some cases! Thank you so much for supporting !

It was kind of you to lend your topiary to a friend who appreciates them like you do. When someone borrows something, then they need to take care of it. Now she knows to call you if she thinks they aren’t looking as glorious as the day she borrowed them. And you will remember to rescue them from her. If they don’t rejuvenate, then I hope she finds it in her heart to do what’s right by you. I hope you both remain friends and can laugh about it later. ❤️🪴❤️
